It is pleasant that Dr Dholakia took IIM to such a height and changed it into international brand as IIM-A students are getting handsome packages .But now the days are gone when once retired from service, people became useless for the society. Dr. Dholakia is so capable, he can start a new Management Institute and in doing so, he will get large no. of support. When Madan Mohan Malviya can establish Banaras Hindu University which has a place in the world, why not Mr.Dholakia. He has also got lot of admirer. He need not required support of Indian Govt. or politician.
The last paragraph is incorrect. Pankaj Chandra of IIM-A and J Ramachandran of IIM Bangalore are in the fray for the top jobs at IIMB and not IIMA as the author puts it.

with due respect to all religions, beliefs n sects, I think IIMA is an institution of excellence which PURELY runs of basis of "Merit" and there have been cases where ppl. from so called "less priviledged castes" have made it really BIG in this instt. just on basis of MERIT... BTW..iima offers 22 7.5% reservations to SCs/STs already...so NO MORE RESERVATIONS plz. else the progress of ppl. with merit will get restrcited...
No body knows but the fact is that he has got some award from central government for his dancing on the tunes of HRD minister third class Mr. Arjun Singh. He is therefore responsible also for plight of eligible candidates wanting to go for MBA may be not know but in future. One should remember his this great disservice to the society also.
