I have interviwed at Microsoft
by V S on Oct 12, 2007 10:44 PM  Permalink

I can tell you that what she is saying is correct.

Microsoft Technical interview is as much about technical skills as it is about creativity.

It is a very difficult test to clear.

1.That way they have someone to take the blame when something goes wrong.

2.In product development, the amount of damage an idiot can do is much more than in software services,so effective screening is a MUST.So in a sense,it is money well spent.

Any Takers
by James on Oct 12, 2007 10:15 PM  Permalink

Hi
For a company like Microsoft, Intel, HP and any Fortune 500 company ranked within 50, I am confident to hire any numbers without utilizing placement agencies. ANY TAKERS

UNETHICAL PRACTICE
by James on Oct 12, 2007 10:09 PM  Permalink

Dear Friends,

I am into recruitment and have worked in reputed companies. I agree with most of comments. Head or VP-Recruitment or Director-Recruitment claim that their company is "employer by choice', ranked 10th or 11th amongst Fortune 500 companies.

If they are claiming so, why they need placement agencies to get even Freshers for them, Sad to know this.

Today, most of Sr. Recruitment Professionals work as a postman, using consultants (who sometimes are their own relatives) to get employees starting from freshers, 2 years and ofcourse, the senior the profile, the more money the recruitment head makes out of it.

I sometimes doubt, even CEO's are involved in the scam.

God Save "HR Entity"
