Hiring for right requirement
by dc dgp on Oct 13, 2007 12:13 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think what Chitra (Director Staffing) has mentioned on hiring is very specific to an outstanding company like Microsoft. A company which is in Product Development that too Microsoft; the requirement is unique and absolutely different from any Software Services company. Product development needs to be led by very Innovative, Problem solving and Technically solid people. Thats why they probably look for the best of the talent and also pay at least 5 times higher than most of the software the s/w companies. At the same time Microsoft has got noncore area of business like Customer support and Product maintenance which they have outsourced to Satyam/Infy and other companies. Makes abosolute business and common sense.
Role of director Staffing is very critical for Microsoft as 1 Product developer is probably many times more critical than 10 software production support professional.
Thanks
Raj

Hey Raj,
Good point. Do keep up.I agree with wat u voice out and wat Chitra said from her own perspectives, being HR Staffing director is tough and required huge responsibilities and she herself is very much talented employee.those who worked with her are blessed..so obviously she knows right candidate for right Job at right place and right time.....

Thanks...Cheers...!
