by srinivas on Aug 07, 2010 08:47 AM  Permalink

I am delighted to hear about Rural BPO of yours. That's great. I too have the aspiration to do somethings for my rural India. I tried to get into Civil services but failed in the interview. Later I started my career with BPO. I would like have a franchaise of your in my region . Most of the people come from the region to hyderabad to work or settle down. It would be the great opporutnity to have business there. Kindly request you to revert back for further proceedings.

i salute u Saloni for the courage u have shown and the concern you have for rural India. I also sasute your parents who inspired you although both of them are well placed in Delhi.I specially have high praise for you as a girl who have done this outstanding work when the many other urban girls only aspire for cosy and glamorous life and project wrong image of common Indian women who is very hard working and very responsible(probably more responsible than the Indian male.my best wishes for your success.

Kudos Saloni!

This is very inspiring indeed. Saloni has given rural India a fresh lease of life. An important highlight of this article is that it does not mention of any government support as being extended to Saloni. This only goes to show that a lot of important social issues can be successfully addressed without any aid from the government. Also, her venture would make rural women highly independent and self-sufficient.

Good solution for today's increasing problems in Indian cities
by Venkatesh Babu on Dec 02, 2007 11:12 AM  Permalink

I think the next good thing that can happen in IT and ITES is - take the jobs to where people are staying, rather than pull people into specific cities like Bangalore, Delhi.

This will atleast reduce the current congestion problem happening in big cities, also this will help people to work from their homes, rather than keep traveling.
