the data and facts mentioned in the above article may be true, but certainly intentions of the writer is to get large business houses to invest in a waiting oppurtunity of healthcare which is a gold mine after so called retail boom. what mr. singhal has not mentioned is, if all is so bad with India's healthcare, then why does citizens from UK, Europe, USA, Africa, Middle east etc etc are coming in hundreds to get treatment and operations done here. I am talking about so called developed countries and rich people who are coming here to get treated and yes white skin people not only NRI's are coming here. It takes 5-6 months to get appointment for a moderate surgery in any subsidized hospital in UK, which means citizens either wait to death or spend few bucks and come here. It costs USD 1000-1200 for avg 2 days hospitalization in any good hospital in USA. There are more than 50% people in USA who do not have subsidized access to any Hospital/treatment beacause of government policy of privatisation of health care in hands of large private business houses. Insurance business and healthcare is a nexus in USA, and the same is being tried in India by promoting such practises. The write up is mere eyewash and does not do anything with reality except promoting writer for his interests

Gentlemen. When it comes to healthcare don't compare us with the west or any other country where there is no family values.
We take care of our disabled/sick/mental brother, father, sister, mother, wife, children, or even our uncles/aunts.
This does not happen in the west. There they take care of self and not the family. So the burden of taking care of the sick is with the state. Here the burden is carried on the shoulders of the COMMON MAN.
Don't look at things from state perspective. The government/state does not help the common man and it is foolish to look upon an impotent government/state to help us. We help ourselves with the resources we have.
Numbers are always questionable. Statistics are engineered like the HIV/AIDS statistic in India. From 5.8Million estimate it has come down to 2.5 Million. Why the number is so high, because there is a state incentive to report higher number. More $$$ for filthy NGOS who in the name of service suck the blood of common man.
India's population is more than the combined population of the entire north america, entire europe, former USSR, australia and perhaps some miidle east countries. Pretty muh the entire population of the developed world! Do we have the same GDP of all of them combined? same social spending? huh!!! That describes the gravity of the problem. We must understand we are poor and much overpopulated. The govt seems to be doing more for the rich and filling their own coffers. They are busy to generate a feel good factor, purely for political purposes. They say, we will wipe out poverty in 10, 20 years or India will be a develped country by 2020 etc. Perhaps they expect the poor to commit suicide or kill each other in this time. India will be developed not by having people in Forbes list, for china is more developed and has much less people in forbes list. We will develop when each of our citizens have legal work, which pays sufficiently to have proper meals, education, housing, healthcare etc. There are proper roads and infrastructure, everywhere, not just metropolis. The govt is just patting its back because of a booming stock market, which is certainly not govt's doing (may be wrongdoing). That still remains to be seen what is happening. So much so that they now boast of a big population, not telling that a large lot will become goons, in absence of proper education and work, and these poiliticians will pay them for booth capturing! God save India

We can reduce burden of population by 70%. Added advantage is WAR tends to ignite patriotism and reduce corruption. Look at Europe, Japan, Russia all country.. They have Bloodshed County. We the hindu ppl always made compromise.

India's population will increase to 2 billion, 3 billion, 4 billion....... if there is no control.
Can we make billions of houses to accomodate all ??
Is it possible to make millions of roads to have a smooth ride for all ??? What will be the number of vehicles Indians will own ? The fuel required ....
How many airports and railway stations to be made to move around the country ???
Then comes schools, colleges, hospitals, resources, pollution......
How can we manage our resouces for billions. Many say that young people are our strength. Are all of them well utilised now ? Do they all contribute well ??
30 % of Indians are still iliterate.... people under still poverty line.... How can these people be brought to a decent life, if all the resources are spent on airports, railway stationa and roads.....
The situation can be improved just by making a policy. The govt. must must must make a rule to restrict the no. of children to max. 2. Spl. reward to those who have only one child, that too if a girl child ( to prevent abortion )...
If it is not done in the near future, India will be a hell in 30 years time.......
it is easy to ignore the fact that India is also home to a very large number of aged in absolute terms and that by 2027, it will have over 170 million people above 60 years of age, almost double of what we have today. ============================ According UN, Indian life expectancy is 60-62 years old. The number of people who can live to the age 0f 60 is not big. So, India has no luck to care 170 million people above 60 years of age.

Any idea of per capita income of Brazil, Russia and China..? and the GDP of BRIC? Our assets are a good number of intelligent hardworking young(18-45 years) population that is productive. Our (India's) dependents population is crucial but in the next 10-15 years we have a huge number of 18 productive population that can help India develop. China doesnt, Russia doesnt, Brazil has some but much lesser. Please understand that Life expectancy is not the only indicator to be taken into account.

ALL METROS AND MEGA CITIES INCLUDING Pune city ARE gorwing very fast with a large influx of immigrants. Still Govt.health Facility in Pune is worst at its best and compared NCR need much to be desired. Due to poor health facilities in the city and suburb, City has become a haunting ground for few unscrupulous doctors!
These doctors are seasoned crimianls,Lord of Last benches in medical schools and got in to medical schools with just a pass mark in qualifying examinatioins.It takes average 10 years for average SC/ST Quota Doctors to co9me out of medical schools which can be done in 5 years by average merit holder student.
Now such doctors have started minting money by unscrupulous practices without disclosing their quota status and largely immigrant populations don?t know pats of these doctors.
Why public should avoid them
1. QUOTA doctors are generally poor quality doctors in knowlege, skills and morality. So one is more likely to be ovrecharged, undertreated, wronlgty treated and /or abused!!
2. QUOTA doctors tend to have nexus with criminals. Drug dealing, kidney rackets etc.orginates from lust of money by these quota doctors.
3. QUOTa doctors are generally not adequately insured. That means if I go to ophthalmic guy for eye complains and if I lose my eye, I am not entitled for any compensation as doctors would turn bankrupt!! Most of insurance company charges lot higher premium from quota Doctors For malpractices and there for most of QUOTA DOCTORS

4. Quota doctors are generally sex maniac so it not safe for children or females.
I hope a Pune municipal corporation upgrade its health services otherwise is disaster like situations, there will be lots of secondary death due to poor health services!!
HOW TO identify quota doctors??
1. LOOK for tale-tell sign form his name!! Few clever doctors would change there name through. Like Dr Bhange will be form QUOTA Cadre.
2. age/color and behavior of doctor
3.Ask him /her about number of failure in his/her medical schools.
4 Lack of adequate insurance and generally poorly maintained hospitals!!
5. When you are paying for his/her services, ask for his QUOTA status under RTI Acts..!!It is your information?s and you have right to know!!##USE RTI laws and expose QUOTA CRIMINALS!!
