Hi: I'm lesser experienced than u but would try to answer.U can keep it as long as u want, but better u withdraw it from EPF & open a PPF account in SBI or post office.Interest is same & u can track ur money anytime.U'll be having a passbook also whihc will be updated as per ur wish.In a nutshell, there will be a transparency, but in case of EPF, u can't have a clear Idea.

IN YOUR NEW COMPANY YOU HAVE STATED THAT YOU ARE DAWING MORE THAN SALARY LIMIT. ONCE YOU BECOM EPF MEMBER AND LEFT SERVICE AND NOT WITHDRAWN THE EPF YOU ARE CONTINUE TO BE MEMBER INSPITE OF YOUR SALAY IS HIGH. YOUR EMPLOYER IS VIOLATING THE EPF RULES.

Hi, There is a set of forms avialable to withdraw the P.F at P.F 0ffice or the web site of P.F. Fill the form properly apply with the PF office and they will Credit the amount thro' ECS with in 3 months. If you haven't receice the amount Greivance Day is observied every month for a fixed day and you can get satisfactory reply from them. But without going to Office of PF you can get back.
I AM A SALARIED EMPLOYEE. MY COMPANY IS DEDUCTING Rs. 600/- EVERY MONTH IN MY SALARY AS PF. OUR COMPANY'S CONTRIBUTION IS ALSO Rs. 600/-PER MONTH.IF MY RETIREMENT WILL FALL IN 2010, THEN HOW MUCH AMOUNT AS A PENSION SHALL I GET EVERY MONTH.PLEASE CLARIFY.I AM WORKING WITH MY PRESENT EMPLOYER SINCE 1997.
Hi! I am salaried employee 27 yrs old with Basic DA=2lakh per annum.Almost 100 %assured i will earn atleast 20% per incriment in my basic & DA. So after 21 yrs what will be My PF amount & what monthly pension i will earn
EPF is a superb instrument no doubt..however the problem is that we change jobs nowadys almost every 1-2 years and so getting PF transferred from one employer to another is really tough..its a very lengthy process and takes years at time..currently my PF has not got transferred for almost over a year..and its been 4 years that i have been contributing but I have no idea how much total amount I have in amy PF account. There is no way you can get a statement from the PF office. This just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. If someone can guide me getting a PF statement it would be wonderful.

If ur case has been transferred to RPFC, new delhi and they are not responding to ur case then send a letter to RPFC office through RTI (Right to information act)to inform you about ur case and why it is pending. They go ahead as per reply.

Please check if your organization has registered for NSSN (National Social Security Number). This is like a permanent PF number allocated to you and when you shift jobs, you dont need to open a new account. You may simply inform your new organization that you have NSSN and would like to get your PF contributions credited there. This will be completely hassle free for you to track your funds and not open new accounts every two years.
