India's best online bank is ICICI Bank with wide variety of services they provide, there online share trading with new i2click gain is awesome to gain more profits for those who trade online in icicidirect.com especially delivery calls are the real gems. there credit policy is too good for customers who pay on-time of there existing loans to offer more & more..overall it's an professionals choosen bank. there's a tough competetion between HDFC & ICICI. but ICICI has more ATM'S than HDFC more branches in southern india. ICICI has a strong presence in southern part of india.
Before these banks came along, our govt owned banks, like the airlines and other govt outfits, treated their customers like beggars. Customer service was a misnomer. It was usual to queue up in dirty, poorly lit halls and suddenly find the staff gone. At the drop of a hat, there were stoppages of work which was taken as "quite normal and accepted". I have seen managers at the mercy of clerical staff, going on all fours to get things done. For eg., if the cashier goes on leave, the manager had to beg somebody to do that job, you can imagine his authority. Passengers in the name of union leaders who were treated royally just for the branch to function. They went awol and was taken for union work. The customer felt he was an intrusion and the staff behaved like they owned the bank, just like in airline. To get your job done was a big relief and an achievement.
It was ironical to see NRI managers coming out to check if you needed anything, while at home look the other way.
The entry of these banks including foreign ones have brought certain standards into our system. Some may not appreciate their working, then have the alternative of govt banks to get a whiff of socialism. I like to have accounts with both to have nostalgia and modern service.
Let is enjoy the choice we have. Let "Indian" be there along with the new players. The politicians can come riding a white horse to save us from time to time and may not feel out of place in this changing world.
Last month, I had some arguments with a bank executive at Andheri West MIDC branch. I was there to get my signature verified. Mine is a salary account and my employer is Atos Origin. Let me explain what happened that day:
Why I went to the bank branch? To get my signature verified on a signature verification form I needed for two-wheeler loan I applied for.
What happened there? As they have token system in place, I generated my ticket and was waiting in queue. I waited exceptionally too long. Then it was my turn, the female executive who was handling my issue informed me that shee cannot verify my signature because in the form I've a different address written. To which I told her, this is also my address. She told me she can't help. I said, "Alright, I want to change my address." She directed me to present some documents as address proof.
I went back home to gather few docs, thenr eached bank after few mins. Generated another tiket, waited in queue. Finally, it was my turn. This time a male executive was handling my case, he told me he cannot update my address because account is new (Less than three months old.) We argued for some time. I argued why the female executive sitting next to him, who handled my case just an hour ago, didn't tell so. I was there was 'SIGNATURE' verification NOT for address. The form stated this properly. We argued and shouted for too long and I left frustrated. He told me I'm not the BANK's customer - my employer Atos Origin is. ha ha.

Do You think, a bank go & can sell in abroad without licence. Lets not Question on the formalaties of a Bank. As a customer lets be true the bank & the Bank will. ICICI has a strong commitment to its customers, but as a customer do we have commitment is a debatable

GOOOD BANK, this bank has open the eyes of nationalized banks & eyes of their eployees by starting the new concept of banking, by giving the un-imaginable services(remember the days of banking when KAMATH JI has started the concept of computerised and ATM base banking)to costomers.He(KVK)only has started that how to treat the costomers oherwise all the nationalized banks could have been gone bankrupt till now and all the employees were begging out side their banks for costomer to come. Congretulation KAMATH JI. I Hope you will exebit execellant/uncompareable way of new costomer friendly banking system which will bring the INDIA to new hight. Also i hope you will look into the numbers of complaint and resolve/satisfy it. Mall. NK

all nationalisied bank employee are most unmannered people, they better know the to how put zanda in thier hand instead of doing good job, they need commision in loan sectiooing, and oiling to their ego,, they are bunch of licence raj joker
