Greenf FUels
by Aviram Vijh on Jun 05, 2007 11:25 AM  Permalink

The govt. has to take stern steps to introduce green fuels like CNG and LPG on a larger scale. 2 stroke vehicles which spew huge amounts of deadly carbon monoxide must be banned. Atleast, Euro II norms must be imposed for existing vehicles and Euro III for new ones. Trucks and Buses which are old need to be offloaded. Kerosene adulteration in petrol must be stopped. And guess what, this is just a small part of poulltion problems caused by automobiles...and the citizens and NGOs have a big role to play int his. FInally, the only way to curb global warming is PLANT MORE TREES. Save Earth.

Indian government should take drastic steps to encourage non-conventional fuels. We have a tendency to follow the west instead of doing research on conversion of animal/agricultural waste into energy.
Corruption can create more pollution. The government should take stringent measures against the polluting industries.
