I was thrilled to read the breakthrough story. Hearty congratulations to all the achievers . I hope that clear picture will emerge shortly on the issues like Time frame, Effectiveness, Cost etc.
iam very proud to be an indian by knowing that an indian is a part to counter HIV but i think there will be so many problems in bringing the medicine may god be always with you.

Hi Dude, Please update if there is any Development..I am Sure It will be cured.
endless theories and possibilities. but hardly one speaks or even reminds oneself of the fact "Prevention is better than cure".
If Indian schools, teachers and parents educate their children about sex and HIV, and its protecttion, then half of the problem would be solved.
India is a country where speaking of sex is considered taboo, but seems like actions are now speaking much louder than words. How hypocritical and sad.
I agree with you.."prevention is better than cure", that doesnt mean CURE shouldnt be there and those who are affected to suffer and die, PREVENTION is essential, CURE is DESPERATE NEED FOR THE AFFECTED. Both are required!

HIV is widely spread mostly through sex. Today, our country has devices to screen the blood that is being donated. Thus HIV transmission through bloood transfusion is preventable to a major extent. Also, a HIV mother can abhort her fetus so as to prevent her child from acquiring the virus. As i said, prevention is better than cure. First of all, no extra/pre-marital sex, if at all, then safe sex. Only if one acquires HIV will one pose the threat of transmitting it.

I think before raising a taunt it would be better if you a little bit of research yourself(if ur interested that is). The site suggested by Gajanan Mohite is also noteworthy.
It is easier to dismiss what i have stated as foolish. The world is full of strange things and you and I are still in our own eggshells.
Indrani may have done some pioneering good work and all credits to her but in the american scientist and other journals loads of such theoretical work have been put forward. We will see that day whose work is credited when first clinical solution is available for treatment of actual patients. Also cutting off the infected cell might not be good for all kind of people in all the ages and stages of disease.
thats only one of the approach that is on paper, hope it works out. for last 2 decade inspite of pumping billions of $$, 1000 of dedicated brain working only on that issue, how to kill HIV. do far everthing has eluded. still long way to go, how it going to work on human.
i remember even Ramdev had calimed to find some cure to HIV!
