When we will stop criticizing ourselves
by Pushpraj Trivedi on Jul 03, 2007 10:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Every body is criticizing on what is going on in India, I agree things could have been done in better way but do we realize how much we have contributed to make it better, in spite of criticizing system have we tried to become part of the system. Mind you all are born and brought up in this environment only, can%u2019t we realize that at least this country has given opportunities to few guys like you and still so many peoples are lined up to change there lives. People out here buying cars and houses though there fathers some how managed to feed them (lower class of the society). This country has given us a ray of hope. Just think what we were few years back and what we are today. If only small percentage got benefited this doesn%u2019t mean rest of the people will not get the chance. Be practical how many years you have taken to build your carrier, when an individual take this much time to change mind it we are talking of a country. Nobody can change every thing over night it will take time and I am sure after few years things will different.

My dear Friend I agree with some of ur points.
For what purpose do u require time, problems feaced during rainy season is not new to Mumbai so what were the authorities doing.......Sleeping trhoughout the year and these people boost of making mumbai as shanghai.
In these competive world time is the only thing one doen`t have, one need to speed up things but here the authorities are moving at snails pace.

does indian media need a global survey to find out that most indians are living in squalor?? is it not obvious once you get out of comfort zone in south delhi, or bandra or banjara hills?
not only squalor, i think india is a ecological disaster waiting to happen. i came to india after 1 year, and it looks worse than before. people are at each other throats all the time.
in between this desert of dirt and poverty, all of a sudden you see some oasis of magnificent building or township, built for MNC's. that is what we are calling development.
whether you agree with me or not, but the most important challenge now is to stop the RISING POPULATION..which has stretched the resources

every thing is fine as we have all talents, manpower, resources & business magnates who are trying to repolish our economy by investing huge funds in infrastructure and other manufacturing plants etc. But India got Independence in 1947 ie 60 yrs. I would say that 60 yrs is a BIG time to prosper. I read some times back that Singapore was the only asian country who achieved developed nations's status just in 11 yrs. Ofcourse! its the joint venture between the citizens & the GOVT at national level n state level but there needs to be HONESTY, DEDICATION & SERIOUS IMPLENTATION OF programmes which are in best interest of the nation & its citizens.
But unfortunately these characterstics are totally missing among our Leaders & beurocrats thus affecting the eniter generation & system as a whole.
example is that in the recent terror attempts in UK on june 28 & 29. I could see the opposition supporting the ruling party in tackling the problem & not blaming or legpulling on this issue.
We in India, infact, lack our vision to make our country real prosperous in short time but just take it with the time & opportunities comming our way 'by chances'.
its the real serious & dedicated GOVT & its policies & then implementation of those policies in to to.
Our leaders are opportunists & selfish, just have mouth service for the citizens at the time of elections nothing more. they need to be serious & real examplary. BUT dont know when!!!!!!!!!

UNEVEN DISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH - INDIA IS NO. ONE
by vasant acharya on Jul 03, 2007 09:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Chidambarji, finance ministry is only worried about FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT, ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE RESPECTIVE ORGANISATION. He is least worried about the real indians, ie. villagers. Wealth is concentrated with few people of the city. Our farmers should become rich, then only, india can become rich. Secondly government is not worried about the villagers health or their security. Like when flood, the government is calling the military forces to safe guard the villagers. Why there is no permanent healing for this, by arranging the forces in village panchayat level, or taluk/district level. Our political motivated petroitism will not make any sense, unless we make our villagers all time happy people. One india, one religion, one motive.

He is an arrogant and hated FM of India, he has taxed every service, he is like a highway robber, rob without giving anything in return. He behaves as if he knows everything and is the wisest man. If he was a genuine man, instead of a fraud, he would have controlled the huge govt wastage, a saving of just 5% would release thousands of crores of money.

Prosperity ???????
by joy daniel on Jul 03, 2007 09:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Who prosper???? Certaintly not the poor pepole but only a handfuls. It creats disparity and not prosperity. Through newspapers we all come to know the wealth amassed by the polititians. Take out the extra wealth amassed by them and put it in proper use. India will definitely prosper.

Real culprit are literate Indians
by Lucky B on Jul 03, 2007 09:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

literate Indians are most unmannered and crual towards illiterate Indians. They complaint a lot.
Fact is they are corrupt not the illiterate. They are exploiting non educated Indians and sucking the blood.
Most of them they don't donate, don't integrate with the social welfare organization.

INDIA SUCKS!...THIS COUNTRY WILL KEEP ON 'DEVELOPING' FOR THE NEXT 50 YEARS. YOU (GOI) THINK I AM SO SOFT IN THE HEAD TO NOT NOTICE THIS FACT. I AM MOVING OUT TO A DEVELOPED COUNTRY TO MAKE MY LIFE BETTER. YOU (GOI) CANT STOP ME. I FEEL ASHAMED OF BEING BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN THIS STUPID PLACE. I WILL GO TO A DEVELOPED COUNTRY. I HAVE LEARNT EVERYTHING HERE AND I WILL CONTRIBUTE MY LEARNINGS TO A DEVELOPED NATION. HA HA HA..I AM SO SELFISH...AND I FEEL HAPPY EACH TIME I THINK OF LEAVING THIS WRETCHED LAND OF SADHUS AND SERPENTS.

I don't see it as a surprise. board any plane where more Indians tend to fly, you'll immediately get a familiar feeling of being a typical Indian Railway platform.

Unless our behavior changes its hard to climb the global prosperity ladder.
