I don%u2019t blame SAM I totaly agree with you .In west They are motivated to excel and experiment and make a mark in the world before they leave this world rather than just contributing to the population We on the other hand are motivated to lead a good life preferable with a happy family god fearing. Just Compare our movies with theirs we deal with 99% love, running behind females ,but on the other hand they are doest the best science fictions which would later adopted by their scientist and then Bollywood filim makers .It is the motivation which is lacking we are happy with what we are just keep earning money that is it!

Sam and Biswas, I support both of you whole-heartedly. Yes, Indians invented the 'zero' and definitely some other scientists stood out (CV Raman, J C Bose). But there is no consistency in achievements ... look at the Nobel Prize history, how many Indians are there? One has to think really hard to figure out India's contribution to the world of science, arts and technology. The only Indians who are making any kind of mark are who have left India for Europe and the US and working there, e.g. IIT Graduates in the 80s and 90s. This shows that Indians are talented but cannot be productive in the creaking infrastructure and red-tapism that exists in India. To add insult to injury, most of the politicians and uneducated buffoons and corrupt criminals who don't have a vision for the country but spend their time in the parliament discussing issues like whether Saurav ganguly should be recalled in the Indian team, whether MF Hussain should be prosecuted for drawing nude pictres of Hindu goddesses or whether Orkut should be banned in Maharashtra. Talent is not allowed to blossom in India but if those very talent decide to go abroad to realize their dreams, they are laballed as unpatriotic. India is a place of double-standards and hyppocricy. Shame on India!
