Read a lot of the comments. What came across to me is that most of us seem to have missed the point. The author at no place has said India is not doing so. He has just said that Japan does so. From where then does the point of India not being good enough. If the people who have thought India is being criticised, let me ask you. Why do you really think India is being criticised? If India did have these qualities, you would have just said the article teaches us a lot ( a few people have said that). rather, most have said " You do not know India", "India is not that bad". My point is, if India is not that bad, then why even comment. Please read the article as an educative one and not as one that criticises.
Yah they have their style and we have ours.I also think we must stop using Shake Hand and start using Namasthay in our official meetings too. Its more quicker and more meaningfull than shake hand. The Arabs use their hugging, japanes use the bowing, Chinese use it too, why dont we continue our own way? May be the politicians made it look cheap and dishonest.
what is the point of writing this article . all countries are different .. this any class of int'l business will teach and despite of and inspite of all this we are surviving here in india . It is japanese who are coming to india and not other way round for business developement and believe it their executives are now moulding themselves into our way of thinking and practices ! sayonara

And then tell me, who is going to earn more money?? Japan or India?? If their executives are coming here, I see the fact that they see business here. They will earn more money. Have we made any impact on Japan. Not that I know of. Also, please go to Japan and check out how many Indians go there to develop business. Sitting at home and commenting about something you have no clue about makes no sense.
I think avery one is missing the point here. The author is trying to bring forth the points which should be taken care of while dealing with the Japanese. it doesn't say that all Indians are like that. If you go and stay in Japan, you will find people with the traits mentioned for the Indians exist there also. What say you?
Thank you!! Finally gets the point. Articles like these tend to educate rather than diss us. Very fe people here seem to have got that. They have all gone into the India bashing mode.
I am in the Travel industry for the past 25 years. I am interested in venturing into new projects like taking a GSA of airline or Promoting Japan as a Tourism Industry in The Middle East and other countries,I need advise and opertunities.
If some one ready to support we can do better and better everyday.
I shall wait for response to move further on the above subject.
Last time i have chance to visit a japanese Lens manufacturing company. Management is very good in taking care of employes.. Even their hospitality to visitors also good.
They does business by putting their minds they will flow proper investments & they do business proper when they find critical they will close not like chinese companies which cuts salaries of employes, benefits if there is any loses.
i've been around a few nations now..after pursuing my career for a while in india itself.well,i cant defend the fact of punctuality n timeliness being good aspects, but once sumbody has worked in indian market conditions, and is intelligent enuf ,using phrase 'no problem' for striving your business in a global market should b ok for a person ,whoz an enterpreneur himself and knows he'll leave no stone unturned to reach the excellence of business as believe me if u can survive in indian markets,u can definitely do better in a global one,its relatively far easier, and on top maintaining quality standards is not even a bit of hassle as you do get paid too much extra to do that unless you are foolish enough to not spend that.concl:??Hard work has got a better value globally as compared to india n its a childplay for one who knows business in indian markets.
