We are living in a Country governed by Monkeys who introduce a new thing as and when a new problem occures without even looking for the available alternatives. It is irony to understand that if with PAN the money laundering is still continueing , how is it that it will be stopped with Money. Let this be clarified?

I think the FM has promised to do away with the MIN requirement. Some system is being worked out to use the PAN number for identification and flag it with a code to indicate a MF transaction. This is very much possible and hope the act is ammended quickly.
I believe to grow an economy it is must to allow people's time getting invested properly. Taking a step ahead Govt. should make it as regulation that in any commercial identification requirement PAN does all. This will streamline the process, will allow better control and will save people's time. It really looks stupid if a developing countries lawmakers does not understand a simple commercial approach. Make a change for betterment of all.

Where a Harvard educated bloke thinks he can take the Indian public for any kind of a ride of his wish.
This man, readily agreeable to go to bed with a foreign investor, is somehow very very creepy when he sees an Indian investor on the site.
Where millions and billions of ill-gotten foreign money is pouring into the country and being invested often by unscrupulous elements, there is no one to even scrutinize them.
And this bloke of the North Block wants to make the lives of each and every of his countryman miserable.

And the tragedy is there is no one, not even the apex, to check these #@$@ing rascals, who themselves mint millions through bhrushtaachaar.
On a lighter note next is RUN (away from all these !!) .Government should make any one identification across various verticals. Since majority of the people who are assesee's of IT have PAN, this can be made the solitary ID.
MIN, UIN, PAN, Passport number, License number, BANK Pins, account numbers, consumer number, policy numbers, car numbers. I loved Maths during my school days. Now I have started to hate it. Why the hell did we discover zero centuries ago? All the systems have good things with them but also limitations. Anyway my life is swinging between these numbers. I love it that way
It is just a case of BAD GOVERNANANCE. Everytime you do anything is this country you are requested to get a new identity card. No wonder we have so many frauds or is it a way of the go"b"ernment to keep the ever growing population employed. Please stop all this and have one card.
