In Britain, the term 'Indian" is a word of abuse. In Australia or USA no one cares about India; at best they think every Indian is a telephone operator. All the time in UK and USA- Australia you can see only about India's poverty. In view of that 8 VCs or 12 Maharajas or 1 Aga Khan cannot and could change India's image, unless the problem of poverty and deprivations of the 70 percent of the Indian people can be solved.

Hi, I had been in UK for some period of time and never got the feeling that 'Indian' was abusive. While I agree that just ten achievers cannot change the fortunes of India, I think we can feel justifiably proud of them. This should be a motivation for other Indians.

Absolutely, I personally feel that Indians have an inferiority complex. There are 200 other poor nations but somehow, I always get the feeling that Indians, especially those who live the Indian lifestyle, consider themselves backward to the west and this is always revolving at the back of their head. I have claimed to be an Indian and a Hindu to caucasians (despite never having lived in India for more than 1 year) because I feel Indian, I am proud of its progress & heritage. Besides, Britons should know how 200 years of colonialism is a major factor in India's poverty today. If a Briton only looks at India as a land of snake charmers and poor beggars, it says something about him/her. Indians spend too much time associating themselves with the west ("all my family is outside India") than claiming that they watch, eat, listen and function as an Indian 24/7.
Indian People are great but they lack confidence and daring.Indians are the only People who should rule over the world and this will be good for Humanity. We have one wrong Habit we are King Maker.. why cant we b king.?? We should make ourselves too strong and capable. Still we are behind euorpean countries 10 years not because of Politicians. We should demand politicians .Why we dont vote to right People.We have to work hard and smartly to save this world from wrong people."Fittest is the Survival".

How we Indians can rule the world? In fact even to extend a comfortable life to our own citizens is a seemingly remote chance in the long future, let alone "rule the world". For mastering the world we must master the technological knowhow which we lack thoroughly. Just think of any state in the West. They all remain on top not because they all have fertile lands for farming, but because they have mastered the best technologies at least in some areas. America is in the forefront because it has the command over almost all sceinec and technology. But in our country planners believe that spending on S&T is a waste. We are pretty satisfied with WB loans and wasting that in nonproductive domains. So until we realise that S&T is the key to the progress and assures the command over the world capital, we are not going to do anything in the world. Take the smart states in the West. They all are siphoning off the world capital to their own use and we are still out there to extend our resources for that.

But, out of the whole population, how many people are getting proper education? Wherein in other well developed countries you have all the facilities but not much intellectuals like we. Of course, we are happy if this number increases. :)
The Day is not far from now, when the name of this biggest & largest Democratic Country will be on the top of the world as a whole. Save & Except certain citizens sitting in the parliament rows, the so called politicians, who are made for pushing the name of Hindusthan into ruins by their absolute deeds.

AGLOCO asks you to download some SOFTWARE called VEIWBAR (i wonder what is this which will keep track of what we surf) and they even ask you to refer your friend to earn money.
there are hundreds on service like this which pays you money for surfing and referring.
This is just a scam which is not going to work. and they call it NEXT REVOLUTION.
I guess after the Tata Corus deal which made India stand up in the global map, this is another news which will make India proud and be watched by others...
