Tatas...a great breed indeed!
by srinivas narashimalu on Dec 29, 2007 02:16 AM  Permalink

I echo sentiments similar to those in the furst two comments, and I'm sure it must be the same with plenty of other folks.

I would also like to share one of the opionions of a shopkeeper that sells internet packages. this happened a few years ago, when I asked him which is the best ISP, his reply was this is by x..this is by y...this is by z...and this is by Tatas...and it's like Government's!

It's really amazing to earn such a reputation and to believe these guys patriotism when they had the money and power to buy India...man it's just amazing!

You are a great breed Tatas...really great!

Wish you a very happy birthday!

-Sri

long live TATA
by Rajdeep Ganguly on Dec 29, 2007 02:04 AM  Permalink

Hail TATA... may india produce a hundred more TATAs...

in this regard, i will also like 2 salute the other business visionaries that india have produced... ambanis, premji, narayamurthy etc... altho they apparently look like more capitalist than the TATAs... they all have raised india to a new level, where the other (developed) world now reckons our motherland with respect and good demeanour...

The great Indian
by Mdnaseeruddeen on Dec 29, 2007 01:47 AM  Permalink

Best wishes for the best Indian Socialist(Industrialist). The Tatas are working for the welfare of each and every Indian, since indepence. For instance, when Nehruji requested Tatas for handing over of airways, Tatas handed to the govt. Will the Reliance r Infosys hand over their money minting petroleum & software business to the govt, if the govt requests. So we all Indians should prefer Tata products first.

The TATA company is greatest in India who worked parrelly with strugling india of 40s to current powerfull india.
MR Ratan tata shall not be compared with ambanis/mittals/premjis of the world since all other belong to capitalist cadre some of them are biggest beneficiary of goverment support.
Tata's have never taken the advantage of our rules & regulations/executive & judiaciary.
A real salute to Ratan tata.

tata,s are the most reliable, household for the things they produce in india in compare with the other players in trade and industry including inddian government.what they say and practice is followed by others.where as reliance and ICICI GROUPS are the barking image of cheating and curruption just like indian politicians and government clerks, beurocates.

Where are the marwadi businessmen
by Manish Kapur on Dec 29, 2007 12:36 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

like the Birlas, the singhanias who have looted the banks of the country and the country itself for so long .
In the west the poor live on government doles and benefits but in India it has been the opposite the so called "rich" have lived on doles and benefits from the tax payers money. While the poor have to repay the installments of their Rs 2000 cow loan on time else the goons are set on them.

Tata a socialist among capitalist
by paniker on Dec 29, 2007 12:14 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nearly three to four generations of industry still I could not find Ratan's name in the rich mans list, like the ambani's ,singh,Premji, moorthy, and other softies. It's a news that 66% is owned by philanthrophic organisations, shows the grateness of name tata carries.Hope god would give another tatas of Ratan's mettle to continue the legacy.
A UNIQUE PHENOMENON AMONG CAPITALISM WHICH SURVIVED AND THRIVED THAT TOO IN INDIA WITH ALL ITS UNSCRUPULOUS POLITICIANS.
we salute you Ratan, and occupation of persia by the arabs, which gifted us with TATA'S.
