I have holidayed in Coorg, Goa, Munnar & Binsar. All the resorts are excellent! Luxurious rooms, kids meal options, super rates on dining and holiday activities make this membership great value for money. I look forward to many more happy holidays in India and abroad.
i had also got fooled by such tactics. i bought one such scheme by paying Rs 50,000 about 6 years ago to Country Inn, Delhi. The following is the membership detail.

while selling the timeshare they say it is very easy to resale, but i asked them to help me sell it, but they gave me tel no of a person, who was never available at that phone. at the time of signing a long agreement, people like us r ignorant. hence they will not tell, which that u cannot go to visit at the time of yr wish, they give some odd week to u. i realised it very late.
2 months ago i somehow i got a customer through rediffmail, but when i approached country inn, they said that i have to pay maintenace fee for so many years, for a service, which i never availed.
if anyone can help me sell this timeshare i shall b greatly obliged.
Well done rediff... one of the best articles that you have posted. Gives a very good insight into the Timeshare Holidaying Concept and esp with a clear Indian Point of view.
It should be understood that the intent of Club Mahindra is good.. but the problem continues to be the execution part.. the people who are in this system - the marketing guy onwards - who gets carried away selling the product and speaks out more than what he should have...the guy who is supposed to respond to customer grievances - who on getting a refund related query from a disgruntled customer is only bewildered that such an offer was indeed made to the customer by the marketing fellow - ....and why indeed, some customers themselves - who would howl that they were promised "unlimited welcome drinks" on arrival - ....the resort staff, whether they witness such things or don't, start thinking that the Timeshare Holiday customers are somewhat like "Ghar ka Damaads" - in the sense that demanding five star services without paying for them... So you sure, go ahead with Timeshare Holidays - after all you also need a dash of adventure in your hlidays...!!
ALl those folks who are members of CLub Mahindra membership are requested to join yahoo group "clubmahindra". We can become a common voice to raise the concerns to CM.

How u are doing maths I dont understand.Rs 195000/year gives u an interest of Rs 20000/Year ur capital loss 10000/Year Maintenance cost 7000/=.Dear Sir its costing u Rs 37000/= for a week or say more than Rs 5000/= with limited choice and mandatory maintenencae payment even if u do not enjoy the facility.

Perfect! I was offered the same and I calculated in the sameway and I informed them that in this amount, I can go to any destination of my own at most time of the year with choice of my Hotel. In UK and most par of the Europe, you get studio apartment for week for about 300-350GBP that is about the Rs.30,000. So why should I stick to such things and waste my time and money and I found no answer. Conclusion don't go for it.
Most of these resorts are in remote places.Since the land for these resorts are being purchased at very low cosr.So in daily expenses u add another 500 Rs to and fro resorts.
I completely dis agree to the statement that, the time share concept is all about cheating people. It%u2019s the individual decision of investing money, for spending their holidays for a period of time. People are ready to pay more every year on hotels and the increasing room rent & other charges every year at a single time, but if the same is being asked to pay the same thru installments, then it sounds different to them. Also one should understand that service does not come free of cost. If%u2019s & but%u2019s are there in any deal an individual makes in their daily life, but should understand the difference between Ignorance & Neglance. I am also a timeshare member, faced problems but on request have been solved peacefully.
