Not all managers are coach
by Aam Aadmi on Dec 13, 2007 06:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most managers, especially in big companies, are not coaches. Most of them manage people and rarely try to inspire.

Most valuable point mr. sack mentioned .This cannot be achieved by simply having bookish knowledge .One should practise and while practising one should be having very flexible EGO and his or her mind should be well controlled

one works with dedication and sincierty for only one thing i.e. self satisfaction. i believe it is not the money we work for, it is also the self satisfaction, growth and respect.

Coaching differs from managing.
by yahoo you on Dec 12, 2007 04:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think coaching differs from managing. Management mostly involves taking the right decision at the right time, rather than teaching the people. Coaching can be considered as a subset of Management, but coaching totally is not management.

Read the very first line of the article. this article itself tells that coaching is a part for good managing. this article has covered only one thing "COACHING" to managing more perfectly.
