Scope is there definitely for new tv channels provided they come out with novel formats. 90 % of the existing channels have similar formats in their genre. It should not be so. Every new channel before launching their venture should convincingly answer this question - "In what way my product is different ? "
If one has the inclination and taste, there are a wide variety of concepts with excellent revenue models. What all needed is one has to come out of the copy cat mindset.
