tumhare bol ne se agar ho jata to yeh problem-i kiyu?? we hv everything as a country needs to grow still we dont do anything to improve ourselves....always we blame others, never look at ourselves...before we blamed british as if they have made us poor...can u tell me what have they taken with them, they took wealth of some very wealthy people whose wealth were never used for improving the situation of poor peopl...self-sufficient countries are not made in one day or a govt does not make it self sufficient, the people need to be self sufficient....a country where casteism is in its social roots, 90% girls are born and taught that their ambition in life is to get a good husband and run a family, intercast marriages are looked as taboo, guys earn education with an ambition to demand more dowry and the amount varies as big as their degrees...what do u expect in such a shit society? we all know how first world countries are made today but we are not ready to change ourselves, if somebody tries to go against the wave, everybody else put him in shackles and give the excuse of maintaining 'parampara'...nothing will change if we dont change....however we dont care...

Debarshi,
you are right , these weaknesses of indians were exploited by britishers when they ruled india for 200 years , Indians have all these inherent weaknesses , a fragmented society , and now our country does not even manufacture an aircraft carrier for the navy and buys out old ships with retrofitting from foreign navy at exorbitant prices, the reason there is a big lobby of defense contactors and Bureaucrats and political parties sitting in north block for the same,

Ganesh

if US catches cold India will get fever
by anil b on Dec 10, 2007 04:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I guess if there is a recession in the US , countries like India and China will be hit badly since India services export is dependant on US and chinas Manufacturing exports are dependant on US consumers. India will be hit badly and there are subtle hints in the SW sector already with projects being hard to find.

I totally agree. Companies like Infosys totally depends on the US market for its revenue, in-turn employment. When India boasts of its IT and services sector, it basically is only a byproduct of the US economy at majority. India must strive to be a self sufficient economy to avoid any nasty falls.

Absolotly wrong..indian export is not at all depents on US, this is the only reason , our stock market is not affecting even though US market gets south direction. We are not only exporting US but also other countries too.

But for Infosys - the changing business model - the GLOBAL DELIVERY MODEL - will sail them through, According to Mr. Mohandas pai, what has changed is the business model - and there is no change in business. The global delivery model is in its third phase.

There was India before US, Here is India with the US and there will be country called India in the future.

Only God knows what will happen to US in the near future, when economy fails, corruption roots deep into society, crime raises and race issues pop up again.

ABT Indian Complacent attitude, i totally agree. its the worst attitude abt our people.
Try to look at the shining side.
do u expect 20-30% people doctors & engineers. if thats ur definition of advancement, its totally misplaced.c, atleast majority r not required to corrupt their language and culture. even to communicate my msg, i have to use aliegn language. majority r saved from such corruptions. what u call as illiterates r the people who r the real indians. their life skills, maturity, culture and values r not found even in 5% of educated indians.
my suggestion is that pl make a all india trip and then comment on 'Illiterates'.
