All Insurance companies offer Term Insurances. The term plan mentioned is of LIC. Here a person can get a Term plan for 35 years or upto age 70 whichever is earlier. For a person aged 30. He will get it for 35 years and for a person aged 35, he will get it till 70. This plan is called. Amulya Jeevan. Minimum SA is 25 Lacs. I wanted to subscribe for this plan. But I am still 28 and will wait till 30 or later. This plan is highly beneficial for ppl in the age group of 32 to 40. Not that ppl above and below this age group can't take this.

I have researched the market. I have gone in for MET LIFE's TA60 plan. This is the cheapest insurance as of now in India.
I dont understand why rediff publishes this kind of articles without checking the authenticity and correctness of the details. I think Leena(who wrote this article) is an advisor or commission agent of Metlife, hence all the values are wrongly published. I am 25 years old and taken icici pru term plan with a premium of RS.3255/- but in the values it has mentioned has Rs.7000/-.This creates lot of of confusion to the people reading this article and increases business to metlife. I sincerely request rediff team to bann this kind of articles and also publish after checking the correctness.

it depends upon the cover taken 10 lakh, 15 lakh or so on.
the 7000 premium is for a 46 year old for a 10 lakh cover
The table shows the cheapest, its not a comprison.
Also for 24 years old person for a 10lakh cover Metlife shows 3100 which is the on par with what u r paying to Pru ICICI (its 3200 for 26 years old for a 10 lakh cover)

HDFC standard life offers best term insurance preimum after the age of 35.So this repeort doesn't take in to account all the offers, rather concentrated on Met life only.

if the values are misquoted in case of some company, the company can always sue rediff. And they should do that, only then news sites like rediff will be careful before publishing misleading artilcles.

I think the premium mentioned in the article is accurate. For a 34 yr person opting for 25L cover, 9K premium is charged in almost all insurance companies. You are 25 yr and havent mentioned how much cover u opted for - obviously the premium is lower when policy is bought earlier.
