Make him the CM...he will make TN the most backward state in 1 year. Like the communists at the centre, PMK is at the state, blocking every initiative of the state. He is a trader community leader, no wonder he opposes organized retail. But he opposes everything...be it new city master plan, greater chennai plan, expansion of airport, privatisation of airport, new industries, sezs...damn! With friends like these Mr. Karunanidhi doesnt need enemies! The traders have always expoited farmers for decades...the wolf is trying to get into sheep's skin.
These petty politicians by supporting the vested interest of a miniscule proportion of traders and middlemen are forgetting the maxim " Consumer is the King". Consumers have started enjoying the benefits of getting high quality products at Below MRP prices only with the entry of big retailers. Till their entry consumers were being fleeced by traders and middlemen. Lets kick these petty politicians on their backsides during the next election !!
Throughout the country the poor are being made jobless by chains like reliance fresh and wal mart. A thorough review of allowing these needs to be done as many more retail chains are also planning to come into the market.

reliance will pay better price than by the 'traders' and other middle men. Farmers will benefit more from Reliance fresh. The traders need to get together and tackle this in a better manner. Reliance fresh is beneficial for both farmers and consumers who number much more than the small number of traders.

I disagree in my place they have generated lots of employment where as a small shop only employs 1-2 persons and oftentimes the quality is questionable, these supermarkets employ anywhere between 30-50 people sometimes more and the goods can be replaced (most of the times) if not of good quality.

Big retailers like Reliance are creating high paying jobs in the millions. Even a cashier in big outlets are getting five figure monthly salary. These politicians are trying to protect the vested interests of traders and middlemen who constitute just a miniscule proportion of the population compared to consumers. Consumers have started enjoying high quality products at the cheapest prices because of these big retailers. If these politicians do not heed to the interests of these consumers they are sure to be kicked out of power !!
Instead of banning Reliance why doesent he help the current small traders (for whom he is cooncerned) form co-operatives to operate similar type super markets. Govt. can give them tax concessions etc to enable to compete with big ones like Reliance etc. Such super markets work for consumer interests, if there are lots more such markets the consumers will benefit and also they employ lots of people and pay taxes (revenues to govt.) This is a wrong decision and wont help the interest of small traders wither.
The sectarian approach adopted by Ramdoss party is not a surprise. Most smaller parties or even Congress have been doing that. In fact, this country did never require a Pakistan to act counter to its interests.

Mr.Prashanth, Dont get excited, this same thing happened in bangalore too a few days back, with the kannada Rakshana vedike, using the same terminalogy and specifically against Reliance Fresh. This would have gone on and on but for the government amending the APMC Act, which brought all these guys to oppose it and they forgot about Reliance Fresh. In UP, mayawati, changes the rule on monday to facilitate Reliance Fresh and bans Reliance Fresh on thursday, does any of these things make sense. Why you spit venom on people who have escaped the torture of Ramadoss, i mean it, the tamilians away from Tamil nadu are twice blessed indeed, they dont suffer Reservations like in TN and they are safe from the mad rantings of all tamil nadu politicians. Ramadas is not mad( he is known as a tree feller, Mara Vetti) and is best known for it, unless Karunanidhi made him a leader for his nuisance value. Now the same karunanidhi is facing the frankenstein monster that he himself created. So let the politicians all over india and more specifically the dravidian leaders go to hell and this country will become heaven in no time at all.

Prashanth, the other best thing would be to ask for a visa for Karunanidhi when he visits his relatives in bangalore, not to allow Anubumani Ramadoss to land anywhere else except in his state and whenever any PMK minister visits any other part of the country ask him to go back to his state that would teach Ramadoss who is an outsider

Ramdoss should also stop all international and out-of-state flights, cars, buses, and trains, after all they are full of outsiders. Minister should rename Tamil Nadu as Ambadoss Nadu, and kick out all the Tamilians not of his caste. Minister should stop giving interviews in English. Minister should bring back his son from Delhi (an outsider city).
Before going to read the article , people should know what the real ramdoss
1) ramdoss is the founder icon of caste based politics in tamilnadu. his party represents the vanniyar community only.
2) he started his political journey as caste organization and then to PMK. He was very infamous for his road roko agitation once upon a time, while people has to pay heavy price for the difficulties created by his cadre
3) He once wanted tamilnadu to be bifurcated inot two for the reason known to every one.
4) he once told there were no vanniyar community judge appointed for Chennai High court.
5) he always proclaims that no body from his family will hold any post in government or party and made his son directly the central minister. his son was not even MP at the time of induction in cabinet.
6) his son following his footsteps shifted AIIMS facility allotted for Trichy to Salem since salem region consists of chunk of vanniyars than trichy.
7) Sr.Ramdoss runs a satellite channel MAKKAL which is completely uses pure tamil, where as his grandsons study in international school in Delhi
8) he also always says "Vanniyar vote is not for anniyars (other caste) "
9) he dumped Mr. Moorthy former Railway minister as he felt threat by his raising popularity for his works carried out during the ministerial tenure.
10) there is another allegation that he has evaded his fees during his MBBS study claiming himself as a member of SCHEDULED COMMUNITY and later compelled to pay the fees

People like him had also opposed the Hydro power (reason: it sucks out the potency of water!!!) and IT. How many people have lost jobs because of IT revolution?
