Politeness is not in their dictionary. Once we get down at Mumbai or New Delhi airports, we are eagerly greeted by the smiling and greedy Customs. Even if we do not have anything, they want to harass us. You can bypass the harassment by throwing some $$. Once you are out of the airport, you are greeted by Local Police, who want they share, or you asked to open your bags in full pulic view. Once you are out from there, you have still one more to tackle - Local Municipal/Octroi. You can easily pass them by making them cheerful.

These ministers are a bunch of cartoons. What a misleading report he has given here. Our IAS,IPS,MPs and MLAs have ruined the country. These four are a mafia!

these guys are the ones you are still running the country in order and still gaurding you phat A$$ from being fried by some doggone money minded business man or politician.
All you do is to use your pea-brain to write silly comments like this with out thinking why some one would want a report like that. It shows how much india is improving that a reverse brain drain is going on. Also that india has to prepare for all the people who are returning. not everyone are going out. that mean better infrastructure to be established.
Idiot think of the bigger picture.
No offense but please use your brain more than 0.0000001%
I think the report consists of only how many Indians come back who have gone for whatever reasons like tourism, short visits, NRI coming to visit their relations etc. It never counts who have gone back. If they do so, they will get triple the -ve figure they have got now. Dont believe anything what this useless ministers say. Their every single act is based on vote banks.
Read somewhere that total NRI's and PIO's are two crore. If 2 crore returned in last 3 years it means that there is not a single NRI or PIO.Something seriously wrong with the data given by the minister
what government is doing for NRIs to help them in other countries? NRIs help indian economy by advocating outsourcing to India wherever & whenever possible. NRIs the one who invested first in Indian stocks from foreign land. Not to mention remittances done by them to their families in India.
Most of these NRIs are leaving indian citizenship to acquire foreign citizenship because Indian government's policy of non-dual citizenship.
NRIs who have resident status in other countries for example US & UK are facing increasing pressure from those governments. Only way they can get equal status in those countries is by acquiring citizenship of those countries. Apprantely they (other countries) do not have problem with dual-citizenship but Indian government insist on scrapping Indian passport before acquiring other citizenship.
All developed countries allow dual citizenship. They are proud of citizenship they offer to their residents.
PM Singh promised about dual-citizenship but it did not realise. The problem started when they made whole matter complicated by combining NRIs with overseas Indians. NRI: Non-Resident-Indian (who holds indian passport). Overseas Indian: who is Indian by race but holds non-Indian passport.
Need of an hour is to allow NRIs to acquire foreign passport at the same time maintaining their Indian citizenship. This will allow them level playing field in the countries where they are living at the same time it will satisfy emotional need to be recognised as Indian.
As far as allocating Indian passport to overseas Indians is concerned, that is not a priority. They are not in a hurry at this moment. OCIO certificate provides everything they need at this moment.
Our beurocrats over complicated the whole dual-citizenship issue by combining two different things. Which resulted into failure.
Can they wake up to the fact and take this as priority?

Boss, it doesnt mean always earning. If you are earning same outside also, then there are other factors standard of living. Even if you earn same in India, can you get pollution-free, less corrupt, disciplined life, peaceful roads, quota less jobs and education, useless governance in India?

Mr. R N I think you have not been to India since last 10 years...thats why you are giving such crap comments. Come in reality and see how india is developing. and you are talking about corruption and disciplined life I think you didnt read the US news where one student killed 33 persons. and such type of incidents happening everywhere in the world now. how can you blame India in such regards? BTW you are from which country???

I am not sure how come the killing of 33 students in US makes it equivalent to corruption, quota, indiscipline on roads in India? If it is only killing, then i think you have read only US news. You have not read about drunk guys in Mumbai running their vehicles over bunch of people and still going scot-free (Salman khan FYI) or with minimum punishment(some Pareira) and most importantly i am not comparing India and US based on killings. I am talking about the standard of living. I had been only last year to Bangalore and saw the chaotic roads, people with 2 wheelers driving on footpath. I just read that even four wheelers drive on footpath in Gurgaon. What do you have to say about it? and finally whichever country I am from, the picture of India remains same no matter whether it is booming due to IT or whatever. Can you change the mentality? Recently there were protests against Shilpa Shetty's act as if there are no issues in India. Boss, the mentality needs to be changed. That is the area in India which needs actual boom.

Abe... India mein jo bhi hai hum usse kush hai.. we are very happy with the road side paav bhaji, pani puri, sevpuri parties... we r very happy with the rich social gatherings and colourful festivals... zindagi ka maksad ye hai kush raho aur life enjoy karo. I hav travelled a lot in Europe, i know what enjoyment is here... inside the smoky closed bars order some cocktails and go home with someone whom you dont even remember next day and then sleep. If this life i dont want to live long. I am happy in India with the life we have here, even if we hav to live here shorter beacause of pollution and things like that. By the way now I m writing this mail from Germany and I know how much I miss my India!!!!
