PF query
by Murtaza A on May 07, 2007 03:50 PM  Permalink

Hi ,
I just changed my job and joined a new organization. The service with my previous origination was for 2 yrs and 5 months for which the PF amount is rs.57851.00
I wanted to withdraw my PF amount for which the ex-employer is deducting rs.11102.00
as taxes. Thus I only get rs 46749.00 in my hand. They have a Private Trust PF fund.
Can you suggest me a way out for getting a tax rebate or tax exemption for the PF amount. My total years of service is 3 yrs 5 months. I do not want to transfer this funds since I am in a financial crunch and need of money. Please help.
