Satyam !
by bugxone on Apr 17, 2007 07:55 PM  Permalink

Had the opportunity to work with Satyam, Deloitte and Agilent. All have very good work culture and HR policies.
While conversing with some of my Infy friends regarding onsite policies, I found policies framed by Satyam far better and ethical.

Hewitt Associates has gone mad, this list is bullshit.
by Sachin on Apr 17, 2007 07:45 PM  Permalink

Whch reference/survey determines this list? Satisfaction of employees determines the best company and so sampling comes into account. Respondents can only be those who are quite experienced and have worked more than three companies in his/her tenure to get more refined results. An employeewho has been working for three years in the same company can't have an idea about other companies > even salary and attrition can't be the main factors. I have worked in four companies in two years..I know my first company was the best and I have proof in support of this.

To creat an "Ad Marketing" companies push these kind of list into news papers and magazine. Good enough but "Janta" is not insane.

Cheers!!!

Congratulations to The Aditya Birla Group..

I don't know about Satyam, Infi, Reliance etc. However, my experience with ABG is very good. They care about the employees and you see value-culture and respect for the group from top to bottom. Since ABG has a huge work-force (~ 1,00,000 ) there can be grievences from some people e.g. Mahaveer. However, I think it must be related to the local environemtn and immediate bosses.

by Ankit Jain on Apr 17, 2007 07:40 PM  Permalink

Its clearly visible in the survey that how does software companies are sucking its employees and most of them are now out of the best employer's list .
May be it will make HR people of software companies think a bit .

India's 25 best employers
by ANAND TEERTHA on Apr 17, 2007 07:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have no faith in these surveys Because couple of websites and innumerable newspapers screamed that IBM,Accenture;Infosys,Wipro and other big banners are under the recruitment spree/employers.In this list they are not visible.

If u don't have faith, u have all the right to challenge.
But let me tell you, in some of the big shots who claim to be overshooting the market (I mean Infy, WIPRO, etc), there are lots of parasites who sucks the blood of the freshers and laterals, play filthy politics taking advantage of the loop holes that the HR policies have (which they know being in the company for long) creating absolutely an inhuman atmosphere for people to work. The Management and the HR are least bothered as they are only interested in the share-holders interest. Who say's that Infy, WIPRO, TCS are ethical companies? Those who say that, doesn't understand the meaning of ethics. They cannot be the best employers. And as far as growth is concerned, once a company reaches a CRITICAL MAss, it grows on its own and there are certainly some good people in the top management, which is adding to the growth.

Comon guys Infosys,Wipro is never a good employers. They only know how to suck their employees for 70 hours a week and pay lowest salary. They cant be good employers.

I think u are mistaken Anand. The survey is not about "Quantity" of people recruited by them but "Quality" or job satisfaction they provide to their employees.Hence even though the companies mentioned by u have recruited hugely, they dont qualify for the list....

by mahaveer parakh on Apr 17, 2007 07:21 PM  Permalink

I am an ex employee of this group--"GRASIM CEMENT--RAIPUR" and do not agree to this survey report at all.Work,Ethics & sincerety is not the criteria there for gradation of an employee.I am a victim of severe politics & favouratism in that group.Sorry, but fact.

M.K.Parakh.
