It is strange to note that there is no mention of efforts by National Informatics Centre under Department of Information Technology in designing and developing the software for 'Bhoomi' project.

Its always team work, but Head of team is the captain of ship. certainly chawla deserve it. Congrates
now that a substantiative bit of news has come of a real achiever, why dosen't get to be a brand ambaddador? He put his heart soul & integrity to achieve this unlike some people we know!
Its good to see that some people truly want to serve the country despite all odds. Being an IITian he would have easily flown to US. But working against a corrupt system earning particularly through real estate requires lots of guts. Hats off for the innovative and successful project. Do not get bogged down by the transfer. Please continue the good work wherever you are and may GOD be with you.
WE need more rajeev chawlas in our bureaucracy to make it function.... currently it is bunch of most currupt people chosen from all horizons of india... who can sell themselves for as low as 500Ruppeese.....
It is heartening to read this kind of articles. Media is too much obsessed with cricket, film-stars & politicians and articles about their trivia finds prominent place giving the impression that nothing great is happening in our country worth writing about. Lot of good things happening in our country and there are many silent contributors. Media should highlight those
I glad to hear that Mr. Chawla has got Prime Ministers Excellence Award. Bhoomi project helped millions of farmer in getting extrat of land in mean time... I am proud that i am small part of it worked in upgrading bhoomi software in 3 districts of KArnataka under CMC....
Its heartening to see some good things about karnataka is being posted.for most of the India Southindia means TN,Kerala & AP.U can see 101 things about Rajanikanth ,AR Reahman,Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal. But cospicusoly the rediff ignores the people from Karnataka , barring Narayanmurthy ( perhaps because he has provided 1000's of jobs at the cost of locals( do not argue saying that he is providing the jobs for Mertorious students, even the guards ,malis are outsiders)

Well...you had said yourself...If noone is talking, writing and discussing about Karnataka, it is because thugs like you don't want that to happen.
DO you live in Bangalore??? (I know about the name change...I prefer not to call BANGALURU)
Let me tell you, thugs like you will not let Bangaluru to grow as if the city only belongs to Karnataka or Madras belongs to Tamilnadu and Hyderabad belongs to AP...
