I think this is well researched and well writtern article. It is quite true that most of static companies blame external enviornment for their performance rather than introspect.
Whatever the company says in terms of the employees being the heart of the company and the main strength.. in India, where 'talented' youngsters are available at large for any type of job.. retaining employees at a higher cost is generally seen to be economically not-viable option for companies.
