Its good news that Ldh. is developing, but bulding up flat and kothi with NRI money is not real development. punjab really need good industry as car manufacturing, Nuclear plant, food processing centre etc. But most of the industry is going to south or metro cities. Lets see how manpreet is going to improve fortune of state. He is quiet learned and only honest person in badal family.hope for best
Well, it might be true of economic development in that city. However, probably I don't wanna live there for few reasons. 1) It's becoming one of the highly polluted city in terms of unsafe drinking water and polluted air. 3) I guess in some area are so crowded and illegal plying of auto-ricksaws which are manufactured locally and they are runing on kerosene oil, creates HUGE pollution. 4) Small scale industries have probably made groundwater toxic by releasing highly toxic waste into rivers and sewers untreated. 5) If you don't believe, go and visit in that city by wearing white shirt and you'll see the extend of pollution within 1 hour. 6) I've spend 4 years there and saw unsustainable developmet. The government doesn't care about health probs of people. 7) How about crime rate? Not sure about stats but sky high.
Its great to hear good news about my city. This city has long been deprived of development because of various basic things like national or international airport. It lies in middle of state so an airport is urgently needed at soonest possibility.
Textiles are a moajor export item. The infrastructure in this town should have been developed 10 years ago. India has a advantage in textiles and that advantage needs to be capitalised on. It is time for the govt to give it a major push.

really? do u know maids in usa earn rs 1 lakh per month. do maids in ludhiana earn that much? if it were so then nobody would study IT and all do maid jobs lol it's rubbish ludhiana can buy any state what is gdp of ludhiana?

U may be feeling lonely here. those guy in lidhiana have eye on ur pocket. circulation of money generate employment and oppurtunties. india is no match to north america ust keep check on ur emotions
Good punjab is again developing since long back also there are prospect and growing industrial developement than only tsis much of amount has gone good keep it up PUNJAB
