can it be CAS or DTH without regional channels inclusion they may be useless, because, in our country except in metropolis most people like to view regional channels, may be due to teleserials and local films. The recent launcher TATA SKY could not provide more than two channels of telugu or tamil channels [inthese dd is already a free channel] if survey has done how many vieweres are interested in regional channels and how many are interested in foreign channels and the quality expected from metropolies to townships one can make the difference between DTH, CABLE and CAS service and its necessity, profitability etc.,
On 14th july it is said that zee tv and star will not available on tata sky and Dish Tv. But anyone know when because almost 2 months completed and no implementation yet...
consumer should pay such heavy amount only if there is no ads on/between programs recd from CAS/DTH. it should be at nominal cost as the common can enjoy/educate himself.
i.e. a movie which is of 3 hrs is played for almost 4.5 hrs.
There is no clarity about charges for more than one TV in one house either on CAS or DTH. These days there are more than one TV even in one Apartment. Will TRAI clarify on this issue.

If you want to view two different channels, you have to buy two DTH connections. However with one DTH connections you can see same channel in two TV sets.
To some extent , under DTH I think we are still at the mercy of the broadcaster who will provide a certain number of channels from which we will have to choose . What happens if the channels which we were watching now fail to get included in the broadcasters list ? For example Dish TV provides only a handful of regional channels !! So it does mean I would need to acquire another dish from a different broadcaster for viewing ?
TATA-SKY a STAR tv enterprise can give Zee channels and DISH TV a ZEE tv enterprise can give STAR channels. But no can give both SUN TV and JAYA TV channels. They can provide either of these only. As long as they don't provide these two channels in a single platform they can not succeed in Tamilnadu.
