Need for the third party KPO vendor selection Model. What could be the common parameters of the model wrt the customer as well as the KPO service providers. This model can bring in both the players on the common platform across the globe. This would promote the emergence of the third party KPO vendors and strengthen the relationship of the existing ones with their clients. Big companies that are using the captive centers and utilising the Indian talent pool would be in a position to outsource the same to the muti domain KPO service provider. Transition from Vendor to Strategic Partner.
Ours is the probably the only country in the world which is headed by a renouned Scientist ( Mr.APJ Kalam ) supported by an excellent economist ( Dr. MM singh) and backed by an appropriate Finance Mimister . This is really a synergy and probably and ideal example of KPO ( internal use ).
The Dubbawalas of Mumbai who have mastered the skill of logistics get recognised in the training documents AT General Electric in the U.S. and they call it at an ideal example for Six Sigma. Prince Charles invites them for his wedding? Probably most of Mumbai itself does not understand what these Dubbawals are actually doing .There are a host of companies in India spending huge sums to understand this six Sigma.
Dear Sir , I have been hearing quite a lot about KPO and the current status and the future trend on which Indian think tank is banking on to radically emerge as a king in this industry .I do appreciate the fact that the IIT and IIM churn out the best brains in our country and most of them go out to serve the multinationals . The products and sevices come back to countries like ours and we pay heavily for it . There is huge untapped and furstrated potential of scientist community and host of other sections of the community which is dormant in the industry due to lack of support , scope , recognition etc,. This can go on and on but I think that if we work on our basic strenghts with a flavour of patriotism the whole scenario will dramatically change . Our sound history , culture , thinking process , hospitality , societal orientation , value of relationship ,Food habits , the shear size of population , freedom to act , Expression of thought etc ,etc are now being recognised by the world as drivers for sustained growth and stability . This back ground gives us the scope to explode on the knowledge arena with tons of ideas , thoughts innovations to guide the world.
where immature thought... there are lot of other good bschools and engineering colleges in the country...i guess KPO work is not any rocket science.... think before u write..
The problem with these chaps from IITs or IIMs is self praise and illussion that just beacsue there are a few seats in these colleges and there is long line for admissions, they are best in the country. The facts reveal,it is otherwise.Even his article is not original. What India has to do is improve education quality in the country in various colleges and foster entrepreneurship. There is lot of talent available in the country.
The author directly took the concept of explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge from a well known book and did not even mention the name of that book. ("The knowledge creating companies").
