China
by Mike on Jun 18, 2006 10:03 AM  Permalink

When Chinese can freely give their views about China, without having the fear of being thrown in jail, then we should worry about what Chinese think about India.

A Democracy gets Policy makers like them alone, because they are one among them. We say we have no choice, but most of the people after reaching that position will also act like that. We say that government officials are corrupt, but at these very moment I see relatives discussing with a new recruit that upar ki kamai hai ki nahi? Now this is ridiculous!! We don't pay tax properly, and then we put the blame on the government about bad infrastructure. We oppose reservation, but if u somehow get it, you will start supporting it. Everyone is greedy in this nation, and so is our politicians. There is no use blaming them, if we want to bring a change, then we need to change first!!

How the Chinese view India
by Anup Chintawar on Jun 14, 2006 03:10 AM  Permalink

The chinese are right. In India we can not get 24 hour power, how we can expect the India will be super power. Untill and unless we are not ending the corrupt politician and govt. we can not be super power. I have a doubt about the GDP figures and whether we can continue the same in future.

CHINA'S GROWTH
by G S IYER on Jun 13, 2006 11:31 PM  Permalink

I have seen personally what is today's China. Having been there many times, visiting almost most part of China, doing business with many businessmen, I feel the Country is atleast 25 years ahead of us.

Thousands of factories, small, medium and large, producing similar products, yet finding their own market share in the world, is nothing but amazing. The super express highways, well knit road transport system, the modern airport systems even in small towns like Qingdao, well structured sea ports throughout the coastal China, and many more items to say.

Basically the Chinese workers are disciplined, well trained and obedient. Their aim to satisfy the customer is the main reason why they could turn out to be the World Supplier. The could make the products to the price paid by the buyer. A real bane for the Indian consumers, as the traders of India mostly seek very cheap items and make great profits. Infact due to this the people of India feel that Chinese items are of inferior quality. While their supplies to US, Europe, Australia etc go with quality because of the price offered.

When would Indians start demanding quality products from China?

How the Chinese view India
by labrea on Jun 13, 2006 11:20 PM  Permalink

The Chinese have never been bothered about India - they know more about Indians than Indians themselves. India's bane - lack of strong leaders. The've all been a bunch of cowardly, ingratiating butt-lickers, lacking charisma (save maybe Nehru) - girlie-men. With the kind of divisive, pandering, patronizing, populist politics practiced in India, it's a wonder they've even managed to achieve the little bit they have. As the present situation seems extremely unlikely to change anytime soon, India is destined to forever remain a backward, stinking, dung-infested, poverty-stricken land of filth and squalor. What india really needs most pressingly, are a million more political parties, each with their power-hungry head honchos and sycophants all vying for power - this is a sure-fire way to make India a prosperous, progressive land - constant destructive politicking.
