Story of K B Chandrashekhar
by Vishwanath M. Ketkar on Jul 31, 2006 04:39 PM  Permalink

While the story has the potential to inspire many young men, the write-up on Exodus Communications or Jamcracker is next to nothing. One addditional paragraph on each one of his companies explaining the concept and applications would have been helpful.

Chandra's success
by Surendra on Jul 30, 2006 06:15 PM  Permalink

Dear Mr. Chandrashekhar,
I appreciate your dedication and devotion to make your dream true. Well, i am not much awared about your companies and its public status but one thing is sure, its individual way of thinking and ifs and buts of life. You took risk and went ahead no matter what happend with later days as long as you commit and created the dream's co in real sense. Bankrupty is next stage where we could see lot bigger companies and even public companies has seen, so its immaterial and not intended. Your vision is truly great. I learned something concrete from you, hope i can convert something in fruitful way of my career ahead. Best of luck to you Sir. Regards, Sur

Exodus never made any money and was bankrupt. They (Exodus founders)made money OFF of investors and left the investors holding an empty bag - money from innocent investors who fell for their lies, and retirees, widows and orphans who invested their limited resources. They should be treated like criminals in the line of the CEOs/CFOs of Enron, WorldCom. No university or any reputable organization should accept their money. It is a shame that after all this they use the media to 'glorify' their achievements and it is about time the media expose them with the facts.

What a scam !!!
by kuntal on Jul 28, 2006 04:13 AM  Permalink

"Exodus went on to become one of the most succesful IPOs of the year" - And then what? a huge bankrupcy !!!

"Jamcracker struggled at first but became the leader in utility based IT" - where they are one out of one player, and are therefore the leader since no one wants to touch it with a barge pole !!!...

Guys - Who are you trying to fool? This guy has burned through millions of dollars of VC and public money. Anyone who has invested alongside him has not seen a dime unless they dumped stock and ran. Jamcracker - Its not a leader in anything except for the grandest launch party they threw when they took out half of San Francisco on rent.

The guy was at the right place at the right time, he made his money by selling his stock. That is not wrong. But that doesnt make him a good businessman or a visionary. He is incapable of creating lasting value after multiple attempts.
