Why India lost Rs 256 crores
by Prakash on Jul 15, 2006 09:47 PM  Permalink

Its a pity that Indian Govt always tries to reinvent the Wheel. The more sure and secure foreign launches are insured and the clumsy and ever failing domestic launches are not. That the way Indian Govt officials spends the Poor Indian's Tax money. And no one is responsible. These officials should be taken arround Indian poor to cultivate the sense of responsibility so that they act more responsible. One last point .. .. will these fellows let a disaster happen with their own Rs.1000.00?

ISRO Losses
by mithun on Jul 15, 2006 08:55 PM  Permalink

Why don't ISRO get insurance on such huge projects. In such an growing economy, Such scientific organisation should purely have a backup strategy, When Insurance industry is making such a boom in the developing country. Its makes some sense to go for the insurance for such projects. Moreover I feel government should also give cetain subsidy to these projects.

After putting so much hard work and valuable efforts for nearly a year. Its really a big loss to the motivating factor of great indians.
