exploit indian economy
by samir on Jul 21, 2006 02:35 PM  Permalink

This is not fair if 90% of revenue spent on salary of government employee why they need to increase the salary since they are having enough money compared to private organisation. If they really want to compared then they also keep under the same category of PVT organization since they got special category in Income Tax. What they are doing extra when ever cong. government comes they creating this mischips, divide & rule 1st comes reservation now next increase in salary be live me this is there normal practice I M not against congress but policy & brocades. If we are talking about shining India its only 5 % of industries shining & the advantage goes to industrialist not to employee so dont' compared.

6th Pay Commission
by dms_reddy on Jul 21, 2006 02:27 PM  Permalink

Irrespective of the fact that it may burden the exchequer, the pay revision is absolutely necessary for central government employees because there is no revision of pay for the past 10 years. The central employees only get an annual increment, and two-time DA in a year. Govt should rationalise the various subsidies given to people based on their economic criteria and strictly enforce that subsidies reach the intended poor or economically backward people. Measures like cutting down employees strength should not resorted by Central Government for smooth functioning of administration.

why such ''Hue and Cry'' for the Sixth pay Commission Setup?
by R.M.Nehru on Jul 21, 2006 01:45 PM  Permalink

I don't understand why there is much "hue and cry" on the setting up the sixth pay commission. This is the only existing alternative for Central Government Employees to have "some" remedy to cope up with the
explosion of population growth and unavoidable political issues leading to high inflation ,price hike etc.,

If someone calculates in an unambiguous way ,they would agree that the sixth pay commission is very much needed for Central governement Employees.I would go ahead one step and preach that there should be some automatic system of increasing the salary once in five years just to take care of the issue of "financial burn"in a smoother way and let them set up the "Pay Commission" and fill-up the gap at the later
stage.Hence, specualtion should be stopped against setting up Pay Commission and instead, they should spread the news that efficiency could be expected and improved only their salary structure is reasonably comparable with other counterparts in private organizations.

Merits of Sixth papy commision
by RAJIV KUMAR SHARMA on Jul 21, 2006 01:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Govts announcement to consitute the sixth pay commision is late bit it is welcomed. If Govt will not think about its employees then who else will take care of them. The govt servants are low payed if we compare the salaries of MNC employees. The day to day rise in prices had made govt servants difficult to popel their cart.

6th pay commission
by edwin prabhakar raj on Jul 21, 2006 01:40 PM  Permalink

when the private organisation could give more salary to their employees. why not for the government staff. To buy one flat ( plot with house is beyond his dream in real sense)he/she has to shed most of his income,(excemption-corrupted official). children education, communication & transport consume more than 75% of his/her budget. How one can say their salary is more- Govenment will be bankrupted and so on. How the government is meeting the MP/MLA and other policatical members expenses, for their expense their is no hue and cry, eighter by govrnment nor by people or by media. First Government should cut the expenses of polical members. Kindly dont say 90 percent of the revenue going for salary. The expense of one elected member per tour/trip i am sure is just more than thousand government employees.

Way to siphon of taxpayers money
by Alhad sadachar on Jul 21, 2006 01:27 PM  Permalink

It is ridiculous to know that government has agreed for 6th pay commission. We already know the implications of 5th pay comission. This new initiative will give rise to new taxes on common man.Furthermore the state government can not meet these demands as they are alredy bankrupt. There is hike in salary for government employees irrespective of their performance and no indivisual has got any accountability. After failing to ensure internal security of the country ,now the government's new step will drive back the booming economy.

Perils of 6th Pay Commission
by shailendra verma on Jul 21, 2006 01:23 PM  Permalink

Constitution of 6th pay commision is a sign that govt. is giving importance to Govt. Employees. That will boost moral and improve finincial health of the employees.Coz governence of the country is run by govt employees so no harm.but Govt should also ensure that cost cuting measures should be implemented ruthelesly to maintain the finencial health of the state. In developed counntries such as Canada/France, the salaries of Govt. employess is comparable to Private sector.
