George Iype will have us believe that all the UPA Government has done is bungle on the good work done by the NDA Govt! Only in the last quarter of the NDA Govt did the GDP rate increase to 8.4% - whereas the UPA Govt. is forecasting 7% growth (on a higher GDP base) for the entire year. By comparing one quarters performance of the NDA Govt with the whole years peroformance of the UPA - Mr Iype is comparing apples and oranges..perhaps deliberately?
Mr. George Iype has indeed made a substansive coverage of all the departments. But i'd just like to point out that things are a lot better than what they were under the NDA regime. Its very easy to point out all the fallbacks of the present govenrment. But Mr. Manmohan Singh has succeeded in taking some realy bold steps to strengthen our economy and yes as the saying goes "IN INDIA THE PERSON WHO WORKS FOR THE WELFARE IS THE ONE TO BE SHOT FIRST" . What the prime minister has done the fruits of all those steps will be see on a long term basis but the irony is that by that time some other government would be at the helm and taking all the credit for it .. "THIS IS INDIAN MERI JAAN"..!

It is quite surprising to read this,because not much has been reported in any media nowadays,whereas it used to be a major news in the print and electronic media when NDA and TDP govts.were in power at Centre and at state respectively.Does it mean that Media is being properly managed(?) by the Congress? skj
