Dhrubhai's orbital change philosophy
by p.thiagarajan on Aug 27, 2006 10:47 PM  Permalink

I share the views of Mr G.K in this regard. Late Dhirubhaiji as well as Mr Mukesh are known to me. Dhirubhaiji once asked me (former chief commissioner of incometax)why u cannot weedout spent forces from service. I said it is impossible with our procedure for discipliniary action and including conduct rules for compulsory retirement. Govt., service is regarded as theonly safest refuge for security of job. What struck me more about Dhirubhaiji is his ability to build Reliance empire despite his disabilities in the wake of suffering a stroke during 84-85. He did not mind his personal discomforts or inconveniences in the course of developing reliance industries to benefit larage number of share holders and also the employees.

lessons from Dhirubhai Ambani
by ANAND THEERTHA on Aug 27, 2006 11:35 AM  Permalink

Had Indians followed in the foorsteps of best industrialists in the country instead ofchanting Nehru Gandhis, we would have prospered by now. Moreover all the infrastructural facilities should be named after the top insustrialists instead of chosen few politicians from only one dynasty. And breaching laws of the land to become popular and rich is utter nonsense.

Lessons from Dhirubhai Ambani
by Aridaman Kumar on Aug 27, 2006 10:44 AM  Permalink

Am living in your house in A'bad & feeling the positive vibrations.

As a Certified Management Consultant, after VRS from MMTC Limited, suggested one of leading bullion trader to design a gold coin on Dhirubhai. Did lot of intitial searches from NID to many designers and studied the personality of Dhirubhai. Finally, designed and got them manufactured from Switzerland. Unluckily, split happened. The coin samples are with Mukesh's office and met Mr. Nikhil who also appreciated the concept and the packing etc.

Am quite impressed with the orbit theory, very very practical not to look back. Thanks, would love to get other personal experiences of yours.

Best regards.

These simple things are very inspiring .I liked the idea of "changing orbit" else you are killing your potential.
