Lessons from Dhirubhai Ambani
by Tanwi on Oct 05, 2006 07:16 PM  Permalink

I have very high regards for this great Indian Industrialist. I am also of the opinion that fresh ideas and "out of the box" thoughts can come when a professional is left independent. Creativity has to be nurtured to bring in "Innovation".

It was a very good article.

Thanks

I have very high regard for Mr Dhirubhai specially when you think that what he achieved in his lifetime which so many of Indian industrialist have not been able to do. You will need to write more on this so that one get the complete picture. He did use corrupt Indian bureaucacrcy to his full advantage and had no regard to moral or ethics when it came to making money. You have to consider Mr Narainmurthy of Infosys whose achivements are no less than his, but when it comes to principles he stands on other side of the spectrum.
I do not want to take away thunder from that great man as others also had similar oppurtunities but could not make it big.
It is about time that unbiased biography for Mr Dhirubhai be written so that his admirers can make a fair judgement.
