One should feel proud that a few Indians with out much capital have ventured by investing their knoledge have suceeded in the global level. Congratulations Mr. Narayanamurthy for your Vison. best wishes for a continous improvement at the global level.
am suprised that even Mr Murthy still views a duaghter getting married and "going away". Unless people like him change their mindsat about daughters we can cry ourselves hoarse, in vain, about womens empowerment

Stupid and out-classed statement!!!Person like Mr. Murhty who has given opportunity to deserved (without gender differences and quotas). Why don't you apeak at people who don't allow woman to show thier face to others. You can better join womans right comission and try to get some money from government.

Dear Lady, no matter how Murthy puts it, a daughter will go away, fact is that. Would you not remain with your husband when you marry? This in itself is a question you ought to ask. Even in the west, they do not have this concept of going away, but fact remains they do go away, it is another matter than sons' too go away there, In India son's do not go away, usually! So that statement. May I ask who has your parents at this point, if you are already married? Do not divert or take away attention by asking such mundane questions, though it is politically correct to wave the women-flag, he (Murthy) is not a woman basher, look at his wife and you will understand, if you know what I mean ;-)
Enough of Software and for that matter Infy... Author can check with Infy employees, if they are given least 1 day of training every year (Infy policy says to have trg of least 10 days/yr). Fact is non IT conpanies train leaders better (TISCO, FMCG cos (HLL etc) etc..)
I am sick of reading this Infy news everyday in rediff. Does rediff have no better news than exclusively on Infy? Its been days , months and years, that I have been seeing this Infy "great news" in rediff. Why can't you spend your time and energy on better topics than Infy? India is today facing so many issues, so many problems--social, infrastrcutural, legal, political, environmental--its pointless to devote so much energy and time and money on Infy news alone. WHy do you do some research-oriented journalism where you research and come out with something which is unique to you guys! Pity on standard of Indian journalism. You guys have no right to speak as news site. You are worthless like any other Indian news site/channel/paper.
Come on there is much more about Indian business then Infy? You guys don't seem to have anything else. May be the report where Forbes has reported non IT companies which are way ahead in terms of revenue and profits then IT.
