Guys, Infosys finally announced the bonus payout for the 25th year to the internal employees, which was announced to media on 31st July about 126 crores. I would like to bring up some facts regarding the same: a) Payout will be done not from Infosys money, but from the Employee welfare trust money, which Infosys deducts from each employees' salary every month. The reason given for that is that the Bottomline growth shouldnot be affected b) It is informed to higher ups (like delivery managers, Senior managers etc) not to communicate anything through email, there should not be any written communication. I wonder why?? c) It will be just deposited to the bank amount directly, there wont be any intimation of that. It wont come in the salary slip also d) Taxes will not be deducted so that employees feel more money is deposited in the account. You need to pay the tax at the end of the year. Till date, everything given to the employees is always TDS. e)Last but not the least, payout for a 6 year experience employee is 38500 Rs, for 5 year it is 34000, for 3 year it is 29500 etc. Its 25000 (1-3 yrs exp) + Rs 4500/year for PA or Rs 6000/year for PM
India, Indians are very famous for talking too much without any basis. What is the great achievement of Infosys, Wipro, or any of these companies, what innovation and mamangement skills are there really to emulate. There is a lot to learn from US companies I feel. There is absolutely no honesty in India. This is all tall talk projected by press.
Does anyone know HCL was started with 5 People and Mr Shiv Nadar is doing equally good work? I am surprised to see why Infy speaks so loud and keeps repeating the same news again and again. If the top honchos in their PR dept, feel it as a 'Brand Building exercise', may be they need a smarter colleague to guide! It's not the question of just being 'in the news'...IBM wasn't built that way!
There is surely something that Infy does to keep the spotlight on itself. It does portray to be an organization completely built and maintained on grandfather-advice, honesty, integrity, principles, idealism etc. If that were so true, India must have had a society that was more trustworthy and not one so corrupt for countries that learnt civilization from us to comment on so easily.
There are a few things that come out glaringly and surely need more extrapolation and understanding: 1. Why would a company give a 5 star culture to its' employees without a cause, customer's realize that this is make-do and outside the real india is different. 2. They have an amazing number of doctorates and ivy league schoolers but seem to doing just what other IT services companies do, why do they need so many jewels to glitter when they are still just as much as other IT service providers? More sheen to glitter just as much? 3. Why would someone give away all he has painstakingly built at the peak? Daughters these days are given away sadly, but with lots of fanfare and after determining status of the to-be-husband, so it is no more just a "dhaanam", it is more of a market.
