another witch hunt
by kshakes on Apr 26, 2006 11:37 PM  Permalink

Pepsi is being wrongly targeted again, I do agree that the colas as a drink do not have any nutritional value, It is surely a handiwork of spurious vendors in and around Delhi, so let us not blame the cola giant for this "condom in the bottle", Being an MNC they surely do maintain a high standard of quality. Let us reflect on ourselves and see if we treat an Indian company with the same yardstick when such a mishap occurs..... I guess not..., as we all suffer from a "MNC prosecution" complex......

Pepsi Fined
by Ganguly A on Apr 26, 2006 10:29 PM  Permalink

These softdrink giants are selling poor quality products to 3rd world countries, and to make this situation worse some dishonest distributors capitalising on Indian pirated market to put whatever they want like things in the soft drinks bottles. Govt should pay attention to this alarming context.

Indian Govt shoud have give more attention taht's why the soft drinks manufacturer stop play with Indian People, and Indian population should stop drink such type of Cold drinks.

Pepsi fined
by Rajaram Alva on Apr 26, 2006 09:21 PM  Permalink

Pepsi has been made a scape goat in this case. There are umteen cases of nongenuine branded drinks being sold in the open at Rly stations, small towns, bus stands and villages. How a distinguised court can insult a company like Pepsi when there is every chance of contaminants getting in to these spurious bottles. Why Pepsi accepted this verdict lying down?.

Condom in Pepsi bottle
by Arif Moinuddin on Apr 26, 2006 09:04 PM  Permalink

First, a dead lizard and now a condom. What's next? A human corpse?! It's high time our govt. fined the MNCs who don't observe our quality norms to the core. Or maybe even confiscicate one of their plants. I'd at least arrest the quality control chief of Pepsi Co. India...

I have lived through Campa Cola, Gold Spot, Kickapoo 777, etc. and never once has anyone heard of finding anything inside them. And Pepsi Co has alot more money to maintain quality than all the guys I've mentioned combined.

This obviously shows that Pepsi Cola does not see their Indian consumers as human beings. If this was the 70s, they'd be packing home by now. It's also a sad state of affairs to see our own govt. take this issue very lightly.

Pepsi Co needs India more than India needs Pepsi Co and it's high time we made this crystal clear.
