if they don't go to pubs, bars etc. that doesn't mean that they are booring. i'm afraid that the definition of boring and atractive personalities given in this article is completely wrong!! they know the importance of money thats why they don't spend on stupid things! a Vijay Malyya wil be liked by those who like partying but won't be liked by true professionals! not a good one Rediff!!!!!!!

What does this mean, spending time with family and friends, being spiritual, vegetarian and teetotaler is boring.I think the author has some wrong perception for life, or he is promoting going to dance clubs and having drink as symbol of being modern or rich. I think being spiritual religious, vegetarian is what the greatness of Indian culture. What author said is not his mistake but I think the culture in which today people and brought up shows that if you are not going to bars or not having drink, smoke or being spiritual will make you a backward or old society person. I think this is the time to teach the people and specially the coming generation that what is correct and not what is not. If any one can convince what are the benefits of having drinks and going to bar, I would happy to hear and know what anyone who didnt go there.
It is a priviledge for everyone in the public to show off as' Simple Living And High Thinking'. But in the real sense it is not so. If a Rich and famous person, whatever he does uses people coment on his very action. When a rich man says, media praises him/her, 'oh how simple that millionaire/billionaire, so and so is. Practicality humiliate the person for the simplicity, eith by calling 'cheap', 'cheap remarks', it is very common in India specially. It is not necessarily the costliest things the person should use. Th ACs'Malls and rich areas squeea the money because of maintainance of 'glamorous sales-females, and make-ups,.... prices of the same products sold in other places are reasonable but labelled-considered as 'cheap'. People are hyppocrites, preaching something doing something, Double standards, and no other interest other than gossiping, wasting the time in waste observation-discussions. Whatever it is the personality-IQ of a person should be considered, it is immaterial, what his style is , as long as it is reasonable, and social and moral values. Waste Gossips!!

I agree with the basic idea that many industies in India are illegal. I live in UK and sports betting be in tennis, football or cricket is very much a legal activity here. An Indian has made a big name in poker too. Just imagine if Indian Govt makes these activities legal and collect tax on them. I am sure it will allow business men of these segments more freedom to expand their businesses while providing the govt much needed money which it can use for providing literacy, healthcare in poor areas.
These ppl r hard working, and most of them r self made, so they do know the value of money. Narayana Murthy sir is a case in hand. I earnestly hope that such tribe increases in our country.
The rich, being born with a golden spoon in their mouths need not cut corners or live frugally and sweat it out like the humdrum middle class man, granted.
But does it make him a boring person if he is devoted to his spouse and family? Is a rich playboy the interesting person? Let him not live in a cocoon of domsesticity but balance it out-the party hopper or casino buff coulc make it to page three but,there is more to living than just that.

May be this article written by any of the Page 3 interested persona. But the thing is, boredom depends on individual view not everybody's. If a person be billionnaire or normal, how to live his life enjoyously depends on his way of life and culture. Show in the world a lot of pompous dramas is not the cup of tea for everybody. Enjoyment lies in a person's individual decision and view towards his life. So my dear writer of this essay please don't argue with anybody's life.Do you think Page 3 personalities are very satisfied persons! Why lot of depends on drugs and alcohol?
