News article on Amul
by Chachad S.S. on Sep 23, 2005 02:16 PM  Permalink

I thought Dhara and Lokdhara have long been discontinued by Amul(GCMMF LTd.). Dhara is a brand which belongs to a company called Dhara Vegetable and Foods Company Limited and marketed by them only.

S.S. Chachad,

Who initiated AMUL !
by Ms. Sheeja on Sep 23, 2005 11:33 AM  Permalink

Mr. Pankaj has well written the story,But He has forgotten (How Can He?) the Man and his efforts in building Amul to what its today. Who other than Dr.Verghese Kurien !!! Its an incomplete story without him.

Thank you for reminding
by Ajender Singh on Sep 23, 2005 11:20 AM  Permalink

It is one of the most inspiring stories of rural empowerment and its sustainable linkage development to the mainstream markets. More AMULs are required in our country to decrease the gap between the rich urban and the poor rural. Thank you again for providing a reason for hope.

What? Historians do not even mention POLSON and how it was driven out of India before Amul could become a success?
