Amul Story-Good Article
by Kgsatheesh on Dec 20, 2005 06:17 PM  Permalink

The article on Amul gives insights in to the complicated supply chain management in milk industry. There is a mistake in the first line which shows as amul's daily milk collection as 447000 litres and the sales proceeds are 6.00 crores. It is not matching. I feel that either some denomintions are missing or the procurement figure is defenitly wrong. Pl correct.

Every consumer wanting to purchase butter always asks for Amul and "Amul" is synonymous with butter. I think the Brand Development of "Amul" has been superb.

Daily Milk Collection figure of milk
by Manas mandal on Sep 27, 2005 06:13 PM  Permalink

Sir,

Your article is very good.

But regret to mention that in the very first line shows daily milk collection is 447000 litres which is very less even for the one dairy of AMUL.

Regards
Manas

Amul without...
by sachin on Sep 26, 2005 03:18 AM  Permalink

Other than show casing the importance of cooperative unions, the story seems to be telling some other message. Everyone in country thinks that Amul and Mr Kurian are two non-separate-able things and this story at the time when Mr Kurian is under attack from his staff doesn't give write message. Ghorrrr kalyug Mr IIM Professor! ghor kalyug! You should think of yours and IIMs position.
