It pains to see such a successful builder/contributor to India's image as an IT Giant abroad to be humiliated by a politician who has "sleeping in parliament" as one of his contributions.
I really wonder wot contributions the former prime minister has made in his core area of politics and during his tenure as PM except for some projects meant for vote bank appeasement.
Mr. Murthy in his profession has atleast made India's head high.

what DG uttered was NOT a simple criticism. in fact the statement should not be read in isoloation, but with all the other statements DG made on infosys. DG had accused infosys of every dirty trick in business, which is uncalled for. just makes one wonder, if DG has an ulterior motive in this sudden outburst.
Politicians always want to fish in troubled waters. If the water is not troubled, they do that first. The talks of international airport started some time in 1994-95/1996. It was not moving any where. It goes to the credit of Mr.Murthy to have brought this to this stage. I think Mr.Devegowda has confused himself and thinks that Mr.Narayan Murthy is a politician and perhaps made these comments?
In any case, Pat or no Pat from Mr.Deve Gowda is not relevent, people of Karnataka know the value of contribution of Mr.Murthy.
Now that he is relieved from this thankless job, Mr.Murthy can spend more time on making the dreams of people of karnataka by giving more employment to kannada people.

Hey,
Where does his Kannadiga & Non-Kannadiga issue props up from....even if we believe your stats of <10% employees in Infy being Non-Kannadigas, there is no rule that Kannadigas can't work in Infy. I mean if you are worth being in Infy you are. Why would any organization hire someone based on his culture if S/he is not worth a penny. On the brighter side Infy gives business to N number of Kannadigas who work at various levels as vendors. any thought?
Alothough I am not a fan of Deve Gowda, I dont appreciate Mr Murthy as well. He is a thorough businessman who hasnt cared for the people of teh state at all. He considers himself a global human being. Not even 10% of his employees are from karnataka. That should give a small picture of this global gentleman. This letter is that of a typical drama queen.

Do scoop so low level. Why kanadigas do not go to US and stay there. Did any Kanadiga did any thing better than what Mr. Murthy(only a kannadiaga)did for Karnataka. Let us think in the line of growth.

Dear Kannadiga,
You make me laugh!!! What you and your ilk should do is to find out the truth for yourself. Being a kannadiga, what is your contribution in ensuring that you encourage kannada? I am also a kannadiga and a self employed person at that. I know the difficulty in hiring a kannadiga for a job. They are not interested in working long hours, they are not interested in doing hard work, but everybody expects to be paid on par with the "industry standard". When I started my business, I had taken 10 MBAs, all from karnataka, all kannadigas. So I should know.
When a company is operating on a global scale, what matters is the delivery efficiency of the company and not how much it has hired local talent. For your information, companies like Karnataka Soaps and Detergents, NGEF all had majority kannadiga employees. What has happened to them today? Any answers????
It is really sad that Mr.NRNM have resigned from BIAL and that he has heeded to the politics of some uneducated farmer. However, I feel rather than giving up on such unmindful comments he should have proved that the concerned politician was wrong by taking it is as a challenge and completing the project. Actually politician's like Mr.Deve Gowda are like Eunuchs. They really know how to do it, where to do it but they can never do it themselves. Being an Indian and particularly a Bangalorean, we Bangaloreans know how valuable is Mr.NRNM's contribution towards our country and our state. So please do not withdraw yourself from valuable projects on such unmindful comments.
i am glad that devegowda did nt stoop down to the extent of saying that NR received bribes.. i wouldnt be surprised if our politicians says such things.. delighted to know that NR quit for he can spend his time and energy on other purposeful things tarnishing that great man's image is unpardonable.
Mr Murthy a wise person had to take a decision to quit because he is been accused by a former sleeping Prime Minister who only can Shout & do no good to the people of karnataka & did not do any thing like the mentor of Infosys.
It is sad that a person of Mr Murthy stature has to listen to fools who govern the government. He has taken his company to great heights, & wants every citizen of India to work towards the development of India & the state he represents Karnataka. Hope he goes on to the national level & help the country

Hi ,
Whatever your name is ... just a sincere suggestion.... there is no need for a person of Mr.Murthy's stature to sit and have a "Dialogue" with a person who can't even spell AIRPORT properly.
That must be true, a person like Naranayan Murthy who holds responsible many positions in his private and public life must be busy with many things to do if had really neglected some thing over development of Airport. But, I STRONGLY believe that he is not irresponsible at any part of his responsiblities.
I agree that Deve Gowda should not have commented before press. He must have sat with Mr. Narayana Murthy to have dialog.
