Dear Mr.Kannadiga,

You are just not aware of what Infosys has contributed to our state as well as our Nation. First of all understand the difference between patriotism and fanaticsm, business and politics. In short you are no were even near to the foot of Mr.NRNM and just stop commenting about the great people like him.
It is because of Infosys, our state progressed in many areas and particularly attracted investors from all over the world which in turn enriched our economy. Infact I am proud to be a Bangalorean after Mr.NRNM's contribution
Please understand or atleast justify what this uneducated farmer has contributed to our state. He was a shame to the nation when he was a prime minister and now he is a shame to our state that he bringing down our state to dogs.
The best advise to you is, please refrain from all such comments on great people and change your ID to "Indian" and like a true patriot kick out all these corrupt politicians. Else "OUR KARNATAKA WOULD BE A FUTURE BIHAR".

This is really a big loss for the state.

A man who has really done so much for the state has been insulted.

There are people who won't work and also won't let others work.

If this continues, there is no doubt that Karnataka will beat Bihar in all aspects.

It's a shame to all the citizens of Karnataka.

Unfortunate Resignation
by Nilesh Salatry on Oct 20, 2005 05:32 PM  Permalink

It is very unfortunate that we have people like Mr. Devegowda in our political system who doesn't care for any development. Only thing that they care is drawing political milage from whatever happens around.

Mr. Devegowda should have thanked his fortunes that an internationally respected personality like Mr.Murthy lives in Bangalre and has contributed immensely to the whatever Bangalore and Karnataka today.

We have seen Bangalore lagging behind states like Maharastra, Kerela and AP ever seen Mr. Devegowda has come at the helm of state affairs.

If we are truly interested in developing our nation then we must have people like Murthy and not like Mr. Devegowda.

Narayana Murthy is Angry
by Dr YNI Anand on Oct 20, 2005 05:31 PM  Permalink

Now that Mr Narayana Murthy has also left in disgust, it is time to look at the Bangalore international airport project anew and shift the location to somewhere between Ramanagaram and Kanakapura as to enable development of these and nearby locations. If ever the strong & corrupt politicians have land to offer in the new location, they may try. At least the new location will help Karnataka develop faster instead of the neighbouring state. We know what happened when the IT companies were located on the Hosur road!

A Sad day
by Venky on Oct 20, 2005 05:27 PM  Permalink

This is bad news!

When corporate leaders of the stature of Mr. Narayana Murthy take time off their business activities to contribute to the nation and the society, the political leaders deride them without any conscience. the contribution of Mr. Murthy and Infosys to the nation and to the state neednt be repeated - oh yes may be to the likes of Mr. Deve Gowda!

Oh when will these politicians rise above petty politics and indulge in constructive team work!

Stop These Useless Politicians
by Ashok Karania on Oct 20, 2005 05:26 PM  Permalink

Every Indian knows the undying love Indian politicians have for India. Everyone knows the great work done by them for India. Till date, they have not contributed to the development of the nation. They have only been roadblocks. And now, they are blaming others for their failure!

Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda criticized Infosys Chairman Narayan Murthy for the dismal infrastructure of Bangalore. He also accused Infosys of grabbing agricultural land. Not fair!

First, it is the duty of the government to provide infrastructure. What are the initiative taken by Shri Deve Gowda in this regard?

Second, Infosys has done phenomenal service to India. Not only have they put India on the International Map and created a entire new industry, they have created wealth and jobs for Indians. Deve Gowda should be thanking Narayan Murthy for making Banagalore a international IT hotspot.

Third, Infosys also has taken active involvement for improving Banagalore City. Their proactive cooperation with Government resulted in BATF, a role model for everyone. Incidentally Shri Deve Gowda's coalition Government has put it on the back burner. And now they think about improving Bangalore City. Stop them!

No tears, Mr.Murthy
by akshay kumar on Oct 20, 2005 05:24 PM  Permalink

Mr.Murthy should have kept distance from politicians and he would never have faced this situation. Unfortunately, he hobnobbed with politicians like SM Krishna, who made him taste power, power and power.

Absolute power, a state at his feet and hundreds of acres of prime land at gratis, even order for making website for the government had to go to Infosys - the real, humble Narayana Murthy was lost and a media icon and all powerful, arrogant czar was born.

The way Infosys grabbed hundreds of acres of prime land, hundreds of crores of finance assistance - at cost of other IT companies is talk of town and Murthy quitting a post today, does not earn him any sympathy.

No tears for the fall of czar Mr.Murthy, all cheers for rebirth of the good old, humble Narayana Murthy.

bye

AK
