I was born and bought up in Kerala and know what the Trade Unions have done for the workers. They say that they work for the "upliftment" of the workers, but then it so happens that the company closes down or enter into loss. Might be uplpiftment eventually means complete rest - no need to work. Its due to the plight there that people llke me had to leave Kerala and settle down in other parts of the country where situations are much better and earn for themselves and their parents. In Kerala, they would not have job and would end up being a part of the dirty politics happening there. The IT sector in India is doing good and we dont need any labour union to "uplift" our present conditions and eventually lead to the closure of the IT companies and make us jobless. This is a request from my side to the Lefist to please stay away from destroying the IT/ITeS in India...which is the bread and butter for millions of youngsters in India.
We don't need any politician's help to protect our rights. For that matter, I don't know anybody who is benefited from these trade unions (except these trade union leaders).
In India no industry needs a trade union. Many of the trade union leaders are exhortnists who use the position to make money. leaders are so immature they do not care for the country, organization or the employees. All the public sector factories that are in red or closed is due to unionization. Union leaders are happy and have acquired good properties and have enough cash to live. What about poor workers and their dependents.
None of the workers worked properly because of goondism due to union support and hence the bane.
The trade unions in the name of being the saviour of workers has always involved only in bringing an industry to the death bed.In the camfoulage of pretecting the employee`s rights they have done only strikes which led to lots of companies going to the stage of closing down leaving all those employees jobless. They might have done some good but majority of the commarades are only catastrophic.
A knowledge based industry like IT & ITES sector`s employee`s comprising of vibrant youth who are very rational & balanced in their approach to mostly whatever they do doesn`t need the helping hand of commorades. The interest shown by the Trade Unions to enter the IT/ITES sector clearly shows that the trade union concept is slowly dying down in other sectors too.To keep themselves occupied & have a share in the big hot pie the Trade Unions are eyeing the IT/ITES sector.
All these trade unions have done to India is absolutely ruining two of the most naturally fertile states of Kerela & West Bengal by ruling those states for decades together. If they say no why all of a sudden they are putting up a capitalist friendly image to West Bengal in recent past??
i feel there is no need for trade unions in IT industry at present.it is a coming up industry with lot of scope and international impact.therefore what is important is establishing a work culture in accordance with international standards and discipline.entry of the trade unions at this stage will hamper the development.at the same time the industry should also lay down certain standards for the welfare of the workers, health care, working hours, and other facilities so that the employees interest is protected.
your time is over and we do not need your so called support that results in bloody riots and closure of business.
business in based on competitive advantage and today companies treat their staff as one are of having it so they shall take care of the employees if they have to survive.
These leftists are the only politicians who seem to work with a purpose and clear ideology. Unfortunately theirs is a distructive ideology. They dont want people to be self efficient to earn their own 10 bucks. They want the people to remain poor and ask the govt to pay the 1re. each. That is funny. I hope the IT sector is intelligent enough not to go with leftists.
i wish to say that the leftists are at best simplistic do gooders at heart or at worst bumbling fools albeit with a lot of power to do harm.. trapped in a timewarp of their own choosing they fail to realise that what ensures workers rights are not really unions but a healthy , growth oriented economy where the employee's can choose from "n " number of jobs. these chaps should also be sued by all people who were inconvenienced with their last strike and they should make a fund to compensate people before they strike next. after all is only a worker in the organised sector a human being and the rest animals or what ?? and on a lighter note also it should be ensured that no faithful member of the communist party be allowed to use any facility which is provided by the Private sector, be it mobile phone or airlines etc etc !!!
