Several private air-lines had come and gone East-west, Modi,Gujarat air ways etc etc...where are they now...? Now many are coming again....Do theyhave good infrastructre to fly..? There are some small air ports which donot allow night-halt,night-landing,night fly etc..Example Pune air port. Why these air lines cover only Metros Delhi etc.... Consolidation of air-lines should come. Like we talk about Banks consolidation, merger etc etc. Passenger should not be tased with costly fares... We have to wati and watch.......Privatisation...a good air-lift....
AS for as middle class concerned the slogan of without frill and low cost airline is hollow,I want to share my own experience.I have booked a flight of AirDeccan on May15th,2005 for my journey from Mumbai to Delhi for the date of July1st,2005.The ticket is confirmed. I belong to a middle class family and journey by air is by chance or rare opportunity,which I presume to be happen with Airdeccan.I along with my wife and child reach the airport ahead of my deaprture time due to excitement.But when I reached the counter of Air Deccan for boarding pass,I was shocked to learn that the flight was cancelled and there was no other arrangement of the airline.But the concerend staff told me that the refund of ticket will be availabel from the agent from where I have bought the ticket.I have not sufficient funds to arrange the ticket from other airline, but with the help of debit card I arranged ticket from Air Sahara with a penalty of purchasing tickets on higher rate.Then what is the fun of these airlines for a common man.All these are gimmicks.I did not recomend my friends or relatives to go far these short lived and cheat airlines.
