BASIC THOUGHTS ON MICRO INSURANCE The micro insurance model can be conceived around input purchases, sales and village land records data. The basic requisites for this model are--Agri inputs sale counters database and recognition system-Land Records information based farmers database-Agri-produce purchase and purchase recording systems. Model rests on: Linking of above three entities in a legally acceptable manner-Designing a data base structure compatible for working across above entities-Policy congenial for making mandatory the use of data base platform created by all the three entities-Software development using the above database for policy generation, premium collections, claims processing-Linking generation of policy, building policy, premium collection and claims processing to land data records and the transactions of the insurance subject-Fixing an insurance premium as percentage to input purchase-Tracking sale proceeds through above software for auto claim processing G.Sathynarayana
