It is so shameful even to read news like this. Indian citizens are mute spectators of so called bigwigs flouting norms with impunity. Everyday one or the other such issues are brought up by the media but who cares ?
In this case of Sonia Gandhi using Reliance plane for her Russia tour, public knows what Reliance is upto in all it fronts - demerging, infocom problems and what not. If Congress is truthful in saying that it has hired the plane from Reliance group, it could very well have done so with any other aviataion companies without attracting public glare.
All this proves the cultural vaccum our poilitical parties exhibit. It is scaring to imagine where our Country is leading to !
do we have to say something? the congress leaders would have raised hue and cry if Advani had done the same thing during his visit to pakistan. how about this, Sonia=reliance=mukesh=anil=sahara=amarsingh=amitabh=subrato.are they all same?
I personally feel that a Non Issue is being made an Issue! If she had taken a Govt Plane there wd have been a hue and cry that not being in Govt how could she? Hiring of aircraft by private individuals from private plane owners is not some thing un usual. During election various political parties do hire planes and helicopters for campaigning. Even IAF charge the Prime Minister when their planes are used for election purposes. Point at issue is that if she cannot take a Govt Plane and if she takes a plane from a private party the same is commented upon and if she cannot travel in public carriers for personal security reasons(she enjoys Z category security) what else can she do.
