too costly
by rajkiran on Jun 13, 2005 05:20 PM  Permalink

The rents/charges that this hertz offering is too costly . One can have a new car instead of taking these cars on self driven hired ones. if we go on calculating per one month and one year.

too costly to have a self-driven rental cars
by chandsrinivas on Jun 13, 2005 04:29 PM  Permalink

The rental cars are charged in equivalence to the US $$.
for a santro without chauffer driven is 1600 Rs which is equal to $33. Conditions in US and india are different.

There they give for $15-20 for a low end which is toyota camry/corrola with ac and auto transmission.
but in here in the cost is doubled up for simple hyundai santro.

hertz/avis are money laundering and not having trust in our Indian people.

Any Amount > Rs 1000, people here would think twice and would prefer their own mode of transport.

Self-drive Immatured concepts!!
by Tapi on Jun 13, 2005 03:41 PM  Permalink

- Hertz policies say, if there is an accident all 15K deposite will be gone. Insurance company will pay for the dent, then why the customer is being harassed? By chance, if there is a dent, the whole vacation will become a nightmare.
- Rent of a self driven car is costlier than a chauffer driven car + fuel. This is also another damper.

many people, I know are interested to hire a good car and go on a drive to a weekend gateway. but, these immatured concepts hold them back !!
