List of biggest employes is inaccurate
by Shashank on Jun 13, 2005 10:55 AM  Permalink

Hi,
Just wanted to pin point that Mahindra British Telecom is missing in the list of biggest employers. MBT has a current strength of more thank 7k employees, where as iflex with just 4k employees is listed.
Rediff, has a good name which people trust, so putting anything before on the net, it'e better to verify the fact.
I am not happy at all, nor my colleagues are, & so may I have the right to say that rediff has lost the trust of more than 7k employees of MBT + many more.

Regards,

Shashank

Infosys and other MNCs
by Shushrut on Jun 10, 2005 11:59 PM  Permalink

The author writes: "At Infosys, a fresh graduate who joins as a software engineer is offered an average salary of approximately Rs 18,000 per month".

I would like to know if anybody knows how much the "much talked about MNCs like IBM, HP, Accenture etc" offer fresh graduates as compared to what Infosys pays.

Also, I would like to know if Rs. 18000 is actually what a fresh Software Engineer deserves? I ask this because I am one and I know the kind of effort that we people put in and I personally feel that we surely deserve much more than that.

Thanks.

India's top employers
by Sweety on Jun 10, 2005 08:01 PM  Permalink

Ya.. the article shows that they are largest employers. Good so far.

We need to know how many employees have been added in the year rather counting new recruitments.

If we count only recruitments, it doesn't give true picture as we don't know how many left.

SImply saying, if 5000 have left and 5500 have joined, it is no big deal b'coz only 500 additions have happened.

If this survey could be done, it will give a much clearer picture.

Anyway, good article.

Regards

Sweety
